Current MSRP Dealers

dutchess dodge in Poughkeepsie, NY is charging 10k over unreal
The dealership right down the block from me is charging 20% and adding whatever useless add ons they can to thier cars. MSRP IS $88k they want $113k WHY? It’s crazy. So just like I drove right past them and about 4 other dealers to Atlanta I will have no problem doing it again. Then I will use them for service like I do now. I gave them a chance and they wouldn’t budge so I will keep on looking. Their loss not mine.

You are so right. I can’t see throwing $20k away just to say I have a Trx or over paying so I can rip someone else off. I would rather wait or find that honest dealer. I know everyone has to make money somehow but not everyone has to loose money either. I work hard for my money especially to have nice things I don’t believe in giving my money away just because. My biggest question is where does the extra $20k go? Who gets that money? Something tells me it’s not the salesman who plays middle man on those no budge deals that the man behind the curtain benefits from while the salesman gets torn apart and 10,000 steps a day from going back and forth to get the perfect # which is still $20k over sticker oh wait I’m sorry let me use the new fancy word Adjusted Market Value. Aka ADM aka bs. All while the man behind the curtain sits back drinking coffee and sees that $20k coming his way and no one knows where it ends up. This is why I do all the hard work from home. In and out. Don’t have time for bs.

I’m in Atlanta and ordered mine from Shottenkirk Ram in canton and they do it for msrp. Made it real easy.

100%. Ram Corporate also blows for supporting this kind of behavior and doing nothing to stop it. GM is only building sold order C8s still. A year after launch. Dealers who enter sold orders but then cancel on arrival and try to flip for ADM are penalized for all cancellations. They lose allocations in the future. Its why top 10 corvette dealers all deal at MSRP for new corvettes. They incentivize taking care of the customer. Is it 100% going to work...no but its something.

If Ram took 10 minutes to check which dealers are ordering dealer stock vs. sold and only fulfilling sold orders as priority....they would squash a good amount of the predatory ADM market pretty quickly. When I was waiting for mine, dealer that wanted ADM were getting trucks upon trucks. They could have 2 trucks listed for 20k over and have 2 more built and on the way.......my dealer had 3 sold orders waiting for a build date on the first one. I guess it just be nice if the company showed more care and protection for its customers is all.

@392toTRX any luck with Travis at Jim Browne RAM?
Yes Travis did respond. He gave me details and said no adm. just trying to figure out what 2022 will have and what colors are available for order.

Great, glad it worked out for you. He’s a good guy based on my interactions with him so far.

I have also been watching the $5000 off Msrp thread. It’s just so hard to make a decision with so many unknowns. I want to make a good decision but I don’t want to make the wrong decision.

Jim Browne has two RAM locations, Dade City and Tampa. I believe the inventory for both stores may display in each other’s respective sites however, Dade City does not charge ADM, the Tampa store does. I know it seems strange. Ask for Travis (only one Travis in sales) at the Dade City location. Good luck.
I recently called about one on their site and it turned out to be a customer order. I don’t know if that’s a normal practice but anything you see from them is already spoken for according to one of their sales associates.

I have to share my experience tonight. I am really torn on color. My husband took me to a dealership to see the two colors they had. Long story short after the salesman tried hard to get us to buy I found out a few things. First I was wrong the salesman does get some of that mark up. Congratulations they deserve that from all the back and forth they do. Second and this was the part that pissed me off. So we were out the door and of course the man behind the curtain showed his face with the famous line what can I do to earn your business Ha I’m sure he wished he never asked. After going back and forth telling me about a cop who traded in 3 cars and paid $50k over sticker and another person who paid $35k over I let him have it. He proceeded to tell me the reason they mark it up is because I can take that truck bring it to the auction and make $30k. So I lost it I told him straight up how I felt about both of those ppl who paid that much over and that I really don’t care how much I can make off of the car. I truly would like to have the car not to rip ppl off and as @lumpyTrx85 said it’s a hustle ppl have to make money some how but that is not my fault so if I don’t ever get a trx then so be it. I’m not paying 30-50k over just to say I have a trx. I shut them all up and they walked away. Why is it ok for the dealership to rip you off so if you decide to rip someone else they made thier money. Only they are suppose to profit not you? The exact reason I don’t walk into a dealership. Worst part is still don’t know what color I like and at this point not even sure who to believe and who not to believe on pricing ect. Is this all worth the headache? At the end of it all you have a fast truck endless migraines and a gas bill bigger than your monthly payment.

Stop looking for ones sitting on dealer lots, most dealers are hoping for impulse buyers to pay over sticker to have it now. You want an MSRP deal check the forum daily and be willing to travel or wait for the truck you ordered to show up.

it was in trans it. they just got it today. im just gonna wait for my 22

Patience is worth the wait. I ordered mine and looked at ones on lots to see what they looked like since I never saw one in person. Every single one was $10k-$20k over... no thanks. I waited 8 weeks which is short compared to others drove 9 hours to pick mine up and 9 hours back. I figured my trip was worth saving $10-$20k

I have been looking for a month now and refuse to pay over MSRP. If anyone sees anything at MSRP within 300 miles of Albany New York let me know also I want a fully loaded white or blue.

@392toTRX funny that the sales man said that you can just take it to auction and get 30k over MSRP. You should have asked him if that is true why not are all dealers not doing that. I forget how many times dealer has told me that line. Makes me so mad to have them try to justify those ridiculous prices that way. Some ppl think of this just as the good old capitalism system at work. BS! These are the guys that buy up all the front row tickets at an highly anticipated concert. Then sell them again 200% more than it would cost at the box office. Just straight up bottom feeders preying on limit quality.

You should go back to him and tell him he can have mine at 20k over right now. Put his money where his mouth is. I will even give him a rare to be had hug, shake his hand, buy him a nice hallmark thank you card as he cuts my that check for 20k over sticker so he can take it to auction for 30k over.

Are people really paying 30 to 50k over sticker for these trucks now? I would damn sure sell my Billet Silver with 1,300 miles for that and order a 2022
