Nice I'm going to try it out right now, thanks.Body computer
DT 2022 MY
Either one is fine. It actually doesn’t matter which one you choose it’s going to auto detect while it connects anyway.Nice I'm going to try it out right now, thanks.
Would it be "DT 2021 MY" since my truck is a 2021 or is it still DT 2022 MY
You saved my alot of stress with the help Jimmy thank you! This was my first AlfaOBD use, I'm assuming most of the setting will be in the car configuration tab. All done, just took it for a road test and works! I got those warning lights but went away after two sleep cycles.Either one is fine. It actually doesn’t matter which one you choose it’s going to auto detect while it connects anyway.
A guy on YouTube was comparing a 22 and 23 ram limited and the wiring harness for the ecu was completely different.Anybody try Alfa OBD on a 23 yet? I installed the ACC switch and when I go to change the car configuration I get an error message saying "Failed. Requested Procedure is not supported by the unit." Not sure if the ECU is different on the 23 or if I just need to wait for an update to Alfa OBD. I also get a device type not verified message as shown when I connect.

All the wiring and BCM settings are the same for 2023. AlfaOBD just doesn’t have the 2023 BCM version and variant in its database yet.Anybody try Alfa OBD on a 23 yet? I have a similar question concerning the ACC switch part number 68309592AD. Whenever I search for it at the Moar e-store, it claims that its not compatible with the 2023. Maybe chrysler needs to simply update their database, but can’t be too sure and I was wondering if anyone had luck installing and getting it functioning in a 2023.Anybody try Alfa OBD on a 23 yet? Have a part number for screen?Looks great! I did the same and also added lane keep assist (replaced 12” screen with the lka button) and also add peb.
Not yet. Turn on debugging, connect to the body computer as MY2022, then send the developer the debug log, and he’ll send you a patch to use in the meantime until he releases the next update.Anybody know if AlfaOBD has updated for ‘23 yet?
You can add acc but it will cost you at least a couple grand. You’ll need to replace a lot of parts like windshield, abs module and I’m sure much more. Also you’ll need dealer programming when you replace the abs module. Will this work on a Ram Rebel 2019 too? I bought one thinking that it came by default like some other vehicles. I miss having this feature so much.
Alfaobd was updated today, i used it to add the trailer brake controller today, no issues. it didn’t specify DT MY2023, but “DT MY 2022+” i selected that and it recognized my truck as a 2023.I installed the ACC switch, everything physically fits and connects just like it did on my 22. Just waiting for Alfa to release an update with the DT MY2023 PowerNet. Hopefully everything will work as it did on the previous model years.
Just wondering if you were able t o get the ACC to work on your 2023 with the new alfaOBD update. I was able to add the trailer brake controller on mine, just havent attempted the ACC yet.I installed the ACC switch, everything physically fits and connects just like it did on my 22. Another successful install. If I could do it so can anyoneDone!
I bought my ram 2 months ago. I thought it was a pretty good deal. They had a bl;use and a black. Both priced the same, both a level 2. Black had 2k more miles. 6k total. I chose black because the color. I knew it didnt have adaptive cruise control and figured I wouldnt need it. Well after a few weeks I was pissed it didnt get the blue. I kept telling myself “I could have just wrapped it!” (for thousand of dollars fo course). Then I found this thread thanks to the RAM TRX facebook page. Less than $300 and about 2 hours total max time I got this done. I never thought id touch airbags or anything like that. I am technically inclined and I am in the automotive indusrty. But my philosophy is always “pay the pros, do it right!” But I couldn’t find anyone to take on the job!
Thank you! Got it all done right the first time and it was way faster and smoother than I thought. I did unplug battery cables to be extra safe, but I didn’t lose any preset settings.
Once again thank you for the great detailed post!
