Broke a lot of rigs that day.I’ll be planning a trip to Colorado Sandune‘s in Walden very soon. I’m thinking late April or mid-May and would be cool if we could get several of us TRX folks together for this trip.
The Walden Sandune’s will be another extreme terrain opportunity for us to push these trucks in a safe place. I can’t wait for my first jump!
I think this thing handles great in the snow stock. Mountains and our tiny blizzard it did well.I should optimistically be getting mine in the next month or so (fingers crossed). It was built on Friday 3/19 and hopefully everyone remembered all the bolts and fluid before the weekend.
Currently have a GMC 6.2L with the Borla ATAK so this will probably be quieter overall. I'm not planning on changing the exhaust.
Really looking forward to the billet silver for a bit easier care than dark grey. I'm a metallic paint fan which are a bit limited on the TRX plus I love the contrast of the silver and black.
For those that have driven in the snow how are the stock goodyear tires?
My house is at 9,000' on a 3 mile private road. Ive tried about every tire made. These Goodyears have performed well so far. We'll see after a few months. Some brands get stiff after a few months with some wear and won't bite anymore so time will tell.I should optimistically be getting mine in the next month or so (fingers crossed). Baja is mean. I have a little sand pit by our development and it is great. I can't wait to get a group trip togetherI couldn’t even read this thread last weekend I was so jealous I didn’t have my truck for that storm. Made up for it this weekend. The melt off on the dirt road to my place in WP was a blast. The breakin is just to keep the revs and speed down right? It didn’t say anything about 30mph mud Baja.
We were babying it on speed so much coming up and my son as like “the interior is so awesome” but I was sad they weren’t more pumped. We stopped at a friends place on the way to ours and he was impressed, but no omg moment. When we all hit the mud going 30 and a spray of mud water went over the top of the truck from a hole I hit and we just kept bashing. My friend and son were yelling in the truck they were so excited. That was the moment I knew this was a pretty special truck. This is the most bananas thing I’ve ever owned and I haven’t even passed half throttle.Baja is mean. I wish I would have known, need to get out thereRan the truck @ Bandamire track rental today. I was hoping to see another TRX but no luck. 13.30 was my best @ 7300ft+ Density Altitude. View attachment 9902
Congrats! I'm on the other side and use Castle Rock RAM. I know there are a few guys on the west side, but not sure if they bought over there. Finally got mine! Does anyone have a recommended dealer in the Boulder/Denver area? Picked mine up out of state and have a few things I need to get resolvedView attachment 10043.
I also bought mine from out of state but a few members speak highly of Johnson Auto Plaza. Finally got mine! Does anyone have a recommended dealer in the Boulder/Denver area? Picked mine up out of state and have a few things I need to get resolvedView attachment 10043.
Go see Johnson auto Plaza in Brighton, literally one of the best dealerships in the entire state of ColoradoFinally got mine! Does anyone have a recommended dealer in the Boulder/Denver area? Picked mine up out of state and have a few things I need to get resolvedView attachment 10043.
Under 3k for full ppf?Mine arrived on 3/31. I bought it from my buddy who is a dealer in wheatland wyo. I’ve been unimpressed with the Boulder and longmont dodge dealers on other vehicles. I plan to try Johnson as well for service.
on another note i would recommend Concorso in Boulder for ceramic coating. Ed did my 67 Grand Prix and it looks / feels incredible
he is going to do the de badging as well as window tint and ppf. this will be the first time iv used him for this but he comes highly recommended. For ppf and tint I’ve used ray reductions in longmont for the past 20 years. Exceptional!,
since I am using Concorso for the ceramic I thought I’d let him do it all this time. I’m using matte ppp on the lower black 2 tone areas. Should be done before the end of the week. Ed at Concorso s prices seem reasonable. Under 3 k for everything
