Bed storage idea’s

That’s badass not sure it meets my needs for the big stuff but I definitely could use it for some smaller things. Where do i acquire this from?
For anyone interested in the Huracan Fab tailgate storage, here's an older thread with some info on it.

I was until I saw the video of them having to butcher the tailgate to install it

Yeah, that part was a bit sketchy! Kind of nice having a friend sit there and encourage you by telling you not to fuck it up as your grinder is spinning 13000rpm next to your aluminum skinned tailgate! Beer helps. 🍻

I wanted to keep as much of my bed space available for my motorcycle, so I opted to go with Builtright’s Molee Panels. In tandem with their clasps, you can affix pretty much anything. I know it’s not really a storage solution, but you can definitely clasp the Jack to it very securely. Just an outside the box suggestion.

I like that you put the bed rail over the molle panel… I’m thinking about putting mine back in.

Buy a junk yard tailgate like I did. No worries at all.

Could always do what he did and buy a spare tailgate from a 1500 wrecker to chop up. Keep your original one in storage if you ever want to go back to OEM.

These look awesome. Do you have a part number or link to where you bought them?

I'm seriously thinking about molee panels... Does anyone know if taking out a bedrug is mandatory before installing?

I went nuts with hot glue making sure it stayed put.... It wouldn't be impossible to remove it... But it would be a huge pain in the ass.

What type of bedrug? does it only cover the bottom of the bed or the sides too?

I don’t know much about bed rugs, how far up the side of the bed do they go?

The builtright panels affix to holes that are already present in the truck, so if the rug goes all the way up the sides, you may just need to locate the holes and maybe poke a hole through the rug?

Also, if you have the factory rails, then the panels already have a threaded hole to latch onto and the job of install is a piece of cake.

If you don’t already have the rails then you will need to install nutserts (comes with the builtright kit) in order for the panels to latch on.

Man those BuiltRight panels look so good. Might have to try those out next year. I'm still waiting for the weather here to warm up in the spring to install the BedRug, although I threw a Rough Country mat in for the winter.

We just made a trip to see family for Christmas. We used 4 large plastic totes for luggage, gifts, and food under the Retrax tonneau cover. They worked perfectly, lol. Made carrying everything in and out of the houses easy, too.

Thank you, here you go…

Don’t forget to get various clamps. The link is to the panels, but I would start at the homepage and put in your vehicle information and then proceed.

I also have their Velcro panels for under the seat.
Awesome, thank you. Those velcro panels look like a great idea too.

For the rack panels - do you need to drill into the bed to attach them or do they clip on to any existing hardware?

Nevermind, just found the video. Looks like a pretty good way of securing them.

Honestly, mine takes up more real estate than I’d like. Not sure if I’m going to keep that setup. I do like the panel in the back of your truck (by the cab). Builtright didnt have that option, I may just get that bit from putco.
The molle panels aren’t meant to strap heavy things down to, and the four rings aren’t always in a convenient spot… I’m gonna try it, and see.
