Auto Transport by Stopwatch - Best Auto Transport Company For Your TRX

At this point, it's only fair I share with members that I've had less than an ideal experience with Stopwatch. I'll come back here with a full report once the truck is in my possession, but I'll leave it at this....

The driver put 27 miles on my truck within the first hour of picking it up. My odometer went from 18 to 45 (by the way these are confirmed readings and not just the Ram app) and miles to empty from 314 to 225

The truck still sits in Philly which, comically means, the driver personally drove my TRX further than he's transported it so far.

What a way to end six months of waiting and 71 days from WS to lot. Complete shit show and it still has ~2300 miles to go.

(916ghost - it's completely fine if you're experiencing schadenfreude right now. Can't say I'd blame you 🫤)
So the delivery driver picked it up but didn't put it on a tow truck yet? It's waiting in his backyard? Does the map say where the truck is? Is that a residential area?

Unless the app isn't working (although it just showed my miles-to-empty dropped again), it's been here since Friday afternoon...

Wow I’m so sorry @Ducc! What is stopwatch saying about all this? I will be honest when I talked to them over the phone he seemed like something wasn’t right tbh. And he could care less about anything other then getting me to agree and get paid. Terribly sorry it’s went this way for you! I would be crazy pissed off about this especially waiting 6 months! I would be all over them and the driver asking WYF?!!!!🤬🤬🤬🤬🤯🤯🤯

From the map looks the truck it's at some loading area. @Phillytrx can confirm since he lives around there. Could be the tow truck is not available , broke down, and they wait for another truck? Regardless, they should've let you know whats going on. Get a plain ticket and fly there to get your truck if they don't give you a satisfying answer .

I appreciate it brotha. Stopwatch is telling me it's not uncommon. In fact, they suggested I ask others about additional mileage incurred during transit. So far, that suggestion is not working out in their favor.

It's like going through the various stages of grief. I alternate between being absolutely livid to almost apathetic. The control freak in me struggles knowing I can do nothing.

I appear to be an anomaly, though. I chose Stopwatch based on their stellar reputation here and I'm sure others will continue to have a good experience. That said, I love this forum and if my experience has someone at least weigh out additional options then serving as a cautionary tale here is not completely in vain.

I've been seriously considering this option, but I doubt they'll just let me get my truck out of the yard (not to mention I know nothing of a cancelation policy with Stopwatch after their driver picks up a truck) 😟

Damn that sucks! My experience was like everyone else’s, truck arrived from Va to Fla in the exact time it’d take to drive it, with no mileage discrepancies.

Sucks to hear @Ducc

We have the truck at a secured terminal where we keep a lot of vehicles that go across the country. We bring everything to a central location where we then load them on our big rigs to bring them to their destination. We have been doing this with many TRX’s. This is also our location out east where we bring the newly manufactured vehicles from the ports in small loads to then put them on trucks to their final destination. I have been in contact with Ducc through this process as soon as he was concerned about it. We have these terminals in multiple locations throughout the US for this reason logistically. Unfortunately some mileage is added to new vehicles throughout this process. For example on another TRX that was loaded from Long Island had 40 miles put it on it as our rig couldn’t get to the pickup dealer with legal access. Sometimes it isn’t necessary but in some cases it is. His truck was picked up Friday and will be loaded tomorrow on our rig to go out east.

Ducc, I tried calling you. You are more than welcome to cancel and pick up the vehicle from our terminal and receive a full refund. If you choose to have us finish the job I can assure you there will be no issues with having it brought to you. I understand the issue with extra mileage may have you feel cautious as I have expressed on the phone through the weekend. However I assure you my guys have been and will continue to take good care of your vehicle. Call me when you can.

Certainly interested to hear any details that you can share when appropriate. How will they explain putting that kind of mileage on your truck? I am hopeful my truck will be at the dealer in the next couple of weeks and I am starting to shop transport companies. Stopwatch is on my short list to call. I can't marine how frustrating and irritating your situation must be. Hope all works out.

Damn I didn’t have any issues with my @Jaron@StopwatchUSA shipping my TRX last year. I was probably one of the first in here to use them and to post my good experience. My truck was picked up when it was supposed to be and delivered exactly when they said it would be and zero miles were added to my truck and no damage at all.

You have been in contact Jaron. I will not deny that or state anything to the contrary. I'm not here to throw shade but to share my experience and hopefully get a resolution.

All these days later we still don't have a solid answer as to why a driver logged 27 miles in my truck. Horsham PA is not Long Island. There are no logistical issues to justify doubling the mileage my truck had when it left Chapman. I would think a simple conversation with the driver would suffice. I'm not sure he/she would have a good answer, but we would have more info than we do right now.

Hate to hear this Ducc. And you know that driver didn’t adhere to the break in recommendations of Ram. I would be so pissed if this happened to me. I had pretty much decided I was going to use Stopwatch due to the good reputation they are getting on this site. Rethinking that now and probably go with someone else. Given the number of TRX’s loaded from Horsham Pa there is no need to drive it 27 miles to be loaded elsewhere. Sounds like they need to vet their drivers better

Ok that is horrible! Granted - I don’t know anything about normal practices in this industry but that seems extreme. Hopefully the driver didn’t go full Ferris Bueller on your truck… I’d be pissed!!! Sorry man.

This really needs to be addressed and taken care of by Stopwatch. You are going to lose a lot of business if your drivers are joy riding in customer’s 702 hp trucks! The possibility of that happening isn’t going to get my business

I’m sure that they are so busy with the forum and are probably giving the jobs to who ever has the lowest price to make the most profit

Shipping vehicles right now is a crap shoot. I'm trying to find a shipper for my Redeye (VA to CA) and it has been horrible. Crazy low rates and then insanely high estimates. Choosing the right carrier is nerve-racking! I hope this gets resolved soon.

Thanks, Steiger. And I agree with you 100% and will be checking the performance pages immediately upon delivery. Sucks to kick off the ownership experience by checking to see if someone went full Jeepers Creepers reenactment in your brand new truck.

See what they say tomorrow and if nothing is satisfactory get a refund and fly to get it. 27 miles wont damage any vehicle and there are not many places to send it around the dealership. They either had the driver back out/ promised something he couldnt deliver/ or waiting to fill the transport with other cars to maximize the profit. Looks like you are the exception, with most of the people here having a good experience, and he shouldve told you ahead that the truck is going to be parked somewhere for a few days. Maybe he didnt know or he didnt expect you to use the app and track down the miles.
Again, 27 miles is not a lot and even if the performance page shows they did 120 miles per hour you have no recourse.

Thanks for the input, Claasic and I will do just that! The delay doesn't bother me too much at this point, but as you mentioned the expectations could have been set much better. I had no clue until a couple of hours ago that it was shipping tomorrow and I found that out here first!

My stance on the performance pages is the prospect of any denied warranty work due to improper break-in procedure. I'm not sure if it's forum folklore, but I've read that the dealership could pull data on driving habits during break-in and deny a claim. Sure would suck to come out of pocket for someone else's unscrupulous behavior. While I'm sure you're right that not much could come out of it, I feel documenting it makes sense regardless.

So just to let you know, but all hellcat motors are broken in before they are installed the vehicle. They have to be within a certain percentage of equal hp to get installed. The motor should be fine it is the rest of the components that need a proper break in

Had great experience. 2900 miles in eleven days. 2875$. Not a scratch on it! Thanks Jaron...!
