Anyone lower a trx

I wouldn't mind an inch or two lower ride height, and the inherent handling advantages.

As it is, mine can't quite deal with a two foot mix of fresh and frozen snow, so if that went down to a mere 22 or 23 inches, I'd could learn to live with that.

There is a pic on the motortrend site where they discuss a SRT 10 version of the TRX. It is lowered and color matched and looks amazing
Okay, I admit I was just planning on leaving a snarky comment. Something witty and sarcastic. Nothing that would get me banned, of course. Then I saw this friggin' picture of a lowered TRX and it blew my friggin' mind. I take back everything I was gonna say.

I would take that all day, any day. It’d actually be the version I would prefer since MN has no deserts I’m aware of for high speed off-roading…

There's a better picture of a black one with black demon wheels, not quite as low as that one but it looks good. Keep it 4WD, lower it to normal 4WD 1500 height with meats

this this is just a render but I think it looks sick!!!

In an ideal world they would've offered both versions, but as much as the lowered one fits my driving style infinitely better, it would not serve the purpose I bought the TRX for.
Namely, for when there's a fair amount of snow and ice on the roads. More than a Trackhawk could handle.

Also, while it'll hopefully never happen, I'd like to be able to drive around a wreck that blocks both lanes. Around here that would usually require decent 4WD performance, so it couldn't be too low. If able to get around the obstacle(s), it could mean not adding hundreds of miles to the trip.

Before anyone answers with a "buy a different truck" or " be a real man" just skip it. I have read those post and im proud that yall are able to use all the suspention travel avaialable and all the meaty tread on your tires. I will never have mine in a race across the desert. And I can't imagine I'll ever need to jump a terrace row.

So with that being said,,,,, Has anyone put any effort into lowering the TRX down a bit with quality components. I don't want to hack anything. The suspension on the TRX should work wonderful in a slightly lowered position. I am thinking we just need the proper coils installed and then a quality Forged rim and an aggressive compound tire. Any sensors should be able to be properly repositioned.

If this is done correctly you would be able to reverse this by just installing the stock coils and wheels and tires. No harm done.

Can you imagine how hard this thing would launch with smaller sticky tires. Between the gearing differences (because of the smaller diameter tires) and the weight reduction of those smaller tires it would make your ears touch each other.

Someone on here has that is knowledgeable in what it might take please reply. And if you have done this (I'm sure someone has) please reply.

Am I reading this right? Is this the coils for the TRX to drop it down? The reason I am asking is because I have ran into parts that say TRX and they are for some older truck that Dodge made. This has the 2021 year designation on the description. Maybe it is. I'm sending them a message.

Gotta say, I would seriously consider doing this if the kit was a complete setup, not some pieced-together junk. Lowered with one of these 800 900 hp kits damn that would be fun

Interesting find, those springs.

I wouldn't care about any extra acceleration, leaving the stock tire height to be able to go at least 118, which I think is already painfully slow.

But a lowered TRX would obviously handle better, and get better mileage as a side effect.

As I add more power I realize the inherent benefits to lowered suspension as well as, and even more impactful, street tire options for the TRX. That being said, I'll never do either of those things. At that point, my feeling would be that I should just sell the TRX and get a Trackhawk which already has those capabilities and does a better job.

I'll just say "to each their own" but also: don't forget the beauty of this thing is partially because (upon fully built) it's capability to shame a large portion of performance vehicles on and off road. Seeing Corvette / Mustang drivers with their jaw to the floor when they get smoked by a 6500lb widebody truck on 35 A/T's is worth it's weight in gold AND it never gets old.

Also yeah, if you live in the country or anywhere rural...you'd likely be faced with an endless supply of mockery at the gas pump pulling up in your lowered TRX on summer tires.

Not necessarily. For one, people are generally nice in rural areas, and if it's truly rural they won't know what a TRX is in the first place.

Honestly Id be more inclined to buy the 1500 GT, change the fenders and slap some boost to it.
I'd probably just get the Shelby truck since it already has the lowered, street tire look. Then I could just say "it came this way"

Bet ya $100 there will be one at SEMA this year!
