Anyone lower a trx

We are having lowering springs for the rears made.
It’s taking a little longer than anticipated. But it’s a really good spring company and made in USA so worth the wait.

Until then, people are cutting their rear springs.

Fronts are coilovers and use the coilover spring of course.

I've been looking into this more and more.
As soon as I added the rear sway bar and instantly improved the body roll I decided to convert my TRX to a street truck. I really like the wider fender kit as my wheels poke about 1.5 inch. I'm sure there is a way to increase the spring rate and height using custom springs.
As for smiles per mile factor my Ram SRT-10 tops the TRX because I just cant find enough places to use the TRX as it was built. However with some mods I bet I can fix that.
I have a feeling there are a lot of other TRX owners that never see real dirt either.

Yea the hard part was the rear springs. Two companies were saying they were going to make drop springs and then never did.
And the company we are using to make springs… they just got really busy considering the tariffs on Chinese stuff.
So American made stuff has gotten a boost and we are only ordering 10 sets of springs at a time.

Not looking to slam the thing. Just looking to drop it a couple inches to reduce the headache of parking garages. Plus, I think it would look a little cooler imho. There's a company "Black OPS" that has what I'm looking for on their site, but they are "not available". My truck ships today, and to fit it in my garage I need to raise the four post lift I currently park my raptor under by a couple inches. This would solve that problem too. Any advice would be great.
I also wish to lower my TRX. Seems to be plenty of “anti-lower” owners out there.
Why not help a fello RAM owner out instead of the negativity?
In my search for lowering springs I seem to have hit a dead end. If you find something I’d appreciate the lead.

Do as you please but share photos as I’d like to see how it looks. All this talk is making me wish I could get another one and make it a street/drag truck as I do love smoking random cars off the line. However live out where there are huge sand dunes so my trx definitely sees its fair share of off-road.

A lot of people are "anti-lower" about trucks in general, however I love lowered trucks, both slammed on bags and a sport truck look. I'm thinking that a TRX wide body sport truck will be awesome. Check out the Carbon Shocks lowering info a page or two back, looks like they are still working on rear springs but you can cut the stocks for now.

Do you know if the stock wheels and tires will fit after lowering or do I need to have new wheels (of at least new tires) ready to go at the same time?

If the OE wheels and tires fit when bottoming out the stock suspension, they should fit when lowered.

Before anyone answers with a "buy a different truck" or " be a real man" just skip it. I have read those post and im proud that yall are able to use all the suspention travel avaialable and all the meaty tread on your tires. I will never have mine in a race across the desert. And I can't imagine I'll ever need to jump a terrace row.

So with that being said,,,,, Has anyone put any effort into lowering the TRX down a bit with quality components. I don't want to hack anything. The suspension on the TRX should work wonderful in a slightly lowered position. I am thinking we just need the proper coils installed and then a quality Forged rim and an aggressive compound tire. Any sensors should be able to be properly repositioned.

If this is done correctly you would be able to reverse this by just installing the stock coils and wheels and tires. No harm done.

Can you imagine how hard this thing would launch with smaller sticky tires. Between the gearing differences (because of the smaller diameter tires) and the weight reduction of those smaller tires it would make your ears touch each other.

Someone on here has that is knowledgeable in what it might take please reply. And if you have done this (I'm sure someone has) please reply.
Buy a different truck
