Anyone doing better than 3.99% for financing right now

Just got off the phone with fedchoice, they quoted me 2.49% for 72 mos locked in for 60 days based on top tier credit and qualifying income.
Apparently their rates typically change first of the month, so I'm thinking I'll apply later this month and cross my fingers the truck arrives before then. Based on the updates Miles at DC has been giving, I'm optimistic it'll come in before then. Worst case if it doesn't come in and rates go up, I'll apply somewhere again and hope it sticks. Hard pulls of the credit to my knowledge don't drastically impact credit scores unless someone knows otherwise,

No real caveats to the loan application through them other than you have to be a member. And they didn't have any issue with me being in California purchasing through Kentucky.

Just a heads up for those that don’t stay up to date on the fed. There’s a fed meeting on 9/21 where they will announce another interest rate hike likely .75% - 1.00%. If you have a trx coming in soon like me I suggest you attempt to get a locked in future loan somewhere before the meeting.

Another 1%... 🤮 OR, and I know this sounds crazy but, the Federal Gov't could just stop sending out more and more money??

Car loan interest rates hold up better if going with a Credit Union. That being said I ordered a 23 model and if manufacturing starts in Nov I'll probably be paying cash for this damn thing by the time I get it.

Come on now.......FED/GOV out of control spending.....No way!
And US citizens KEEP voting those same A-Holes back into office each year? No Way!
(getting off my soapbox, before the thread is shut down)

I just financed my TRX last week with FedChoice. I was able to lock in 1.99 for 72 months. They had a promotion going on when I applied that gave new members an additional 1% off a loan if you finance within 60 days of opening an account...limited to 1.99 overall. Not sure if it's still ongoing, but worth the inquiry.

Yea I asked about that promo and she told me the 2.49 is the floor for them inclusive of the 1% discount for new members. Sounds like you got in at the right time.

Koons hit me with 6.5% for 84 months with an 851 credit score.
Just refinanced with Notre Dame FCU for 2.99% for 84 months.
Super easy to do. All done by email and DocuSign. Trey was very helpful.

Any other news on rates since Fed hike?

They are terrible. 802 credit, clean history, was quoted 8.54 from Ally right out of the gate. I'm shopping around, hoping to get to about 4 with a local credit union.

Local Credit Union raised rates about .5% today
Thats a shame. it sucks for alot of people that have been waiting a long time

Locked in pre-approval at 2.49% over 72 mos for 60 days today with FedChoice. Supposedly today is the last day to get in an application as they adjust rates beginning of every month (and they'll be going up). Fingers crossed my build gets there that soon 😵‍💫🥴

Oh, for those curious on loan amounts in current market (saw that other thread), I've got 800+ FICO and make well over any income qualifications, and this place capped the loan at $75K. No problem putting that down payment, but I would've preferred to finance the whole amount. I can make more than 2.49% investing my money, but whatev, something for others to be aware of.

FedChoice capped at 75k? thanks for the info

Yep, I've asked for clarification as that's not stated on the website anywhere I can see and the customer service people didn't mention that. We'll see whether it's a hard and fast rule or not.

Yes I think that’s incorrect I was quoted on a 84 month loan

Did you have any issues with DC and FedChoice?/How was the general FedChoice experience?

So now we are sitting in November, where are the best rates?

Got hit with 5.75 at 72 and 6.5 at 84 with Navy Fed. Top tier credit... wish the truck would have arrived a month earlier. Will be looking at refinancing when rates look better.

The places that were offering lower rates had a 75K cap.
