Any updates on 2027 trx orders?

I sent @RamCares a message on this forum so they opened a customer service ticket for me with RAM.

Surprisingly this is what I was told via email from RAM. My order did not have an allocation two weeks ago.

I’m still kinda in disbelief that my order would be passed the edit stage.

so do you have a VIN yet?

When did the last gen ever go 10-12K below MSRP? I doubt this one will ever go below MSRP especially with Raptor R still having ADM on them. These are limited availability trucks.
Umm, okay, where does that put the one I ordered at $1,000 below MSRP?

It's one of many I've bought without an ADM and below MSRP. Actually, I can't remember a single vehicle ordered that wasn't under MSRP.

Guess that if I had a really negative outlook on things I should've logged them, but that doesn't seem like a pleasant way to go through life.

I bought a '22 at MSRP, but that was due to pure idiocy on my part and not researching enough. A dealer posted they had one coming in. I took it without investigation of the MDs of the world. The mistake wasn't repeated in 2023.

People can certainly do as they wish and pay as much as they want. Their money. I just want it to be known that discounts are probably on the way. Clearly some think these trucks were never discounted. Simply false.

Raptor Rs are made in very small numbers. They made ~55k TRXs during the first 4 years, and really close to 50k of those in the first three years of production. Whereas the R is produced at around 3k per year, if that. Not exactly sure how many are produced, but it isn't even remotely close to the yearly average of the Gen 1 TRX.

It makes zero sense to throttle production. Anyway...

I got my 27 at MSRP, I called almost every dealer in my area and a lot were charging a markup ranging 5-25 over MSRP. The dealers that were not charging a markup used up the allocations pretty quickly (they said). The dealers with markups were still sitting on 1-2 allocations.

In this new age of economy and value, I don’t see how any super truck will go below MSRP by 10-12k. That’s just not true. Maybe and I mean maybe 1000 but I highly doubt that as well. No matter how many TRX they make, they will never make more than 5% of 1500 production. The other guys in this thread can chime in but it’s a new dawn since 2023. Stuff costs more money and limited editions fetch top dollar with no drop off.

Same thing was said in 2021...2022...and yet we were able to do it. What has really changed? Things got out of hand during Covid. Remember all the bs pricing and parts shortages?

RAM cranked out ~22k TRXs in 2023. Why wouldn't they do that again? They've already made 236 and those were made a month early.

Doesn't seem like it will be all that limited. They will make the first 2700 or so, spread them around, and then open it up. The only reason not to is if they have a parts fulfillment issue (engine) not because they are trying to make it limited. All that would do is limit their revenue. They don't make ANY more money if dealers add ADM or sell at sticker. That's not how it works.

We shall see.

And, we already have a member here that snagged one a 1,000 under.

If you want to grab one at sticker, or above, do it. Enjoy the truck. I will hang back and wait and see. If it becomes clear sticker is all we are going to get, I will have a decision to make, but I am not making it in July.

The dealer told me I’m BG status which isn’t as good a status as I thought I was in lol.

Apparently when you’re BG status you’re in order Limbo because it’s not allocated. Still no VIN

Are you sure your dealer has an allocation

They have to wait until they get an allocation.could be a week. Could be never.

If RAM opens up the banks like in the past it should get picked up. If not...who knows.

I’m still in BG status as well. Sales manager called me today and said he spoke to his district rep today and they absolutely have an allocation. But this is unnerving.

Since it was accepted by Ram, dealer asked for the deposit… I would have liked them to only ask for that after it was scheduled but oh well… can’t help but feel like I placed a $5k bet tho… but if it isn’t scheduled for whatever reason, they are refunding it…
