DEAL $9000 off MSRP is back @ Granger Motors

Is there a point in time where you say "I know I told you your order would be delivered by December. Things just did not work out. Your still D status. That means your not getting your truck anytime soon. Let us know if you want your deposit back so you can pursue other options."
Are you going to do better if you cancel an older order and re-order from another dealer at the latest higher pricing? I suppose if the new order is for Level 1 you'll almost certainly get it sooner but why compromise for less? Me, I'm waiting for my Level 2 order from Granger. It's frustrating that it is taking some time but I have no reason to doubt that Zack, Amanda, and team are leaning in for us and want us to get our trucks as much as we want them.

Yeah, I think it's reasonable to get a deposit refund when the order is long overdue but that wasn't the terms that I got and I'm okay with that.

Waiting for a level 2 is no comparison to waiting for a C8 allocation. This is a walk in the park🤣

I'll wait for LVL2. No way I could order a truck and be left yearning for options I don't have. Hopefully RAM switches gears soon after the new year and catches up. Zach is king of communication here and I'm happy I placed a second order with them!

I’ve been watching the level 1 vs level 2 build stats… seems granger is the only dealer where level 1’s are given the priority.

Every else is was 2.5:1 and now 2:1 for level 2 to level 1…

Just checking in. Ordered through granger on 10/21/21 and took delivery 12/23/21. Base trim with tow package.

They were very easy to deal with and there were no stipulations to get 9000 under msrp. No dealer added options, nothing. I was in and out of the dealer in 45 minutes.

Congrats! I love smooth and quick dealer transactions. Did you have financing setup through the dealer or take care of it ahead of time?

I went through the dealer. We went through the same lender that I was already using on the truck I traded in with them. I got 2.15%. I could have come in with my own financing though.

That’s pretty convenient! I’d like to trade in as well so hoping for a decent offer of my trade. Glad you had a good experience! Love to hear the feedback like this.

I’d order an L1 from these guys no questions asked if RAM got their heads out of their ass and put remote proximity entry in the base level - legit only reason I’m getting level 2. The HUD is “cool” I guess and the speakers are a must but that’s something you can always fix

In my opinion, the HK isn’t worth the money. The base alpine system sounds great.

Why do you guys care about proximity sensor so much ? My only issue with RAM is not having a key touch panel on the door to open without keys. I'm a trail runner and I don't like to have anything in my pockets when I run. With Raptor I'd just lock the keys in a faraday bag in the car and open the car with the 4 digit code .

Sounds like you should go back to a ford!

So if you run- I’m assuming maybe you have an Apple Watch? To track status and progress? When I go hiking with my dog- I use my apple watch which has the Uconnect app on it- I can unlock or lock and start my truck from my watch. Takes maybe 30-40 seconds- but never had an issue that way. Just an idea which might help.

Very good suggestion.

Not 100% sure if this is the appropriate thread to ask this question and if not, please move/delete as-needed. My question is, has anyone here either traded in and/or anticipate trading it their current vehicle when purchasing from Granger? That's something I need to consider, and the logistics around it, as it will greatly influence overall price, time, hassle, and so fourth, considering I'm down in Florida.

So far from what Amanda has told me is they take in trades but only 30 days out, which for a L2 we all know seem to be 3+ months away, depending on actual options, supply chain, etc...

From what I can tell, these deals under MSRP are awesome and down here in Florida, they have zero interest in playing, which makes it extremely hard to support any local dealership. However, there is a cost/value of being able to drive down the street, get my Trackhawk assessed, turn the keys over and call it a day. Plus, there's no shipping to and from, unknown trade value (which is fair since the market is all over the place) but still trying to figure out if I should roll the dice and order, wait maybe 3, 6 or more months and see then what my trade-in is worth. Sure, I could sell it for a pretty decent number privately but then lose out on the tax savings, which I have factored into overall costs of buying new and even used.

But so far, working with Amanda through emails has been a great experience!

Considering you have a trackhawck, I’m guessing you have a pretty large tax credit. A level 2 would probably push 9k in tax. So you’d have to get a 3rd party offer that’s around 9k higher than granger to recoup that tax credit. Granger probably won’t low ball you that much, they were only 2500-3000 lower than my local offers on my trade in, and I’m sure that’s pretty consistent with other people who have traded in. The discount more than makes up for that. It’s just your personal preference, what are you comfortable sales tax wise, by taking the ease of trading in locally compared to sending it to granger for what they offer. I wouldn’t mind losing 1-2k tax by trading locally if I don’t have to bother with shipping it up to Iowa, but it’s your money, not mine 🤣
