DEAL $9000 off MSRP is back @ Granger Motors

A tank of 87 isn’t going to have any long term affect on the motor. Just put in 91 plus and move on. Modern engines retard timing if there isn’t enough octane.
This is true. Especially during the break in period when you're not supposed to be tearing into it anyway. I think it's odd they're even filling the tank, I don't think I've ever left a dealership with more than a gallon barely sloshing around in there.

We have 93 in FL which is what I always use. I understand it'll pull timing but it's still not good.

How many of you have taken delivery with @Zach@Granger already? My truck has been there for 4+ days and nobody from finance has called me, nobody has called me in general. They sent pics which is great and appreciated! I'm just trying to judge how long it takes them to finalize the deal. I plan on calling Monday and hopefully I get someone willing to go ahead. Also was this the dealership putting 87 octane in the gas tank? I remember there was one on here where members caught them filling with unapproved octane because it was a closer gas station. Is this true? Or was that another dealer?
I picked mine up yesterday. If I wasn't an hr early for my appointment it would have taken 20 minutes to trade in, and check out. Super simple and fast. I was very pleased. Oh yeah, and they had 42 TRXs sitting on the lot! I had time to kill and I hand counted... almost looked like a desert mirage ;-)

I agree it’s not good to run long term and under boost. However during break in it won’t hurt anything as you won’t be under boost. Definitely not worth making an issue over a few gallons. I had an attendant put regular in my Z06 a few years ago. I ran it a week and topped with 92 as that’s all we have in Oregon. Stayed out of boost for the most part and never had an issue.

I'd imagine a dealer going against the manufacturer recommendation on fuel on a brand new vehicle during break-in could be detrimental to the longevity of the vehicle. I'll have my fuel tested upon delivery. If it's anything but 91+ octane I'll open a case (@RamCares) and get the dealer on the hook for an extended warranty for free. If they are knowingly putting 87 octane in a supercharged HO engine and delivering it to unassuming customers that's a huge problem.
How do you test it?

I understand there are a lot of moving parts in this machine and my opinions are just that, so no disrespect intended in my response. I don't pretend to know answers to all the logistic struggles Ram encounters, that's not my job or area of expertise. I'm sure there are many factors that go into deciding what is shipped and what isn't. I do know by reading this forum, there are production and shipping decisions being made that do not make sense. Watching trucks with the same configuration or better being produced and delivered before orders placed months before, all going to the same dealer tells me this isn't a "first in first out" process. All I know is the process is broken.

Also, I don't think it would be smart for Granger to stop publishing status sheets. Most of us what a a weekly update once our trucks are produced and the status sheets keeps me from having to email the dealership to request one. We've all made an investment in Ram and Granger and we expect transparency from Zack and team. This is also why I purchased from them. There were dealers with better pricing closer to my house but I wanted to deal with someone whos reviews were mostly positive. I really don't know if dealerships have the ability to control what vehicles are delivered. Some on this forum claim it's possible, other such as yourself say differently. I do think more attention could be paid to lengthy delivery times by prioritizing trucks that come off the train based on order date. If 30 TRX's come off the train and you can only ship 10, ship the 10 with the earliest order date.

I'm sure I'm over simplifying the entire process, but there are too many stories where trucks sit for months at a lot while others are delivered to dealerships within a few weeks. Hopefully, deliveries will pick up and shipping backlogs will disappear. Again, all this is irrelevant for me at this point since I'm in KZP status.
You are spot on.....but be careful, the Stellantis nazis are watching your posts and might tell the shippers to leave your truck sit for a few more months....lol! The logistics of building and delivering a vehicle are archaic and broken. The whole system needs to be revamped. Too many irons in the fire, too many variables.

Anyone able to get a current update on their truck? Granger said system was down late last week. Ram Chat today said they couldn’t provide anything due to a system update.

A multi-day update, huh? Something smells fishy.

UPDATE: @Zach@Granger ) Granger called me this am and got me setup with wire instructions for my downpayment and secured my financing. They sent the electronic forms and then overnighted the paper docs today so everything will be finalized shortly. So, once granger gets to you, it goes very fast which is appreciated! I'll let you know how the rest goes! - Adam

Great news. Congratulations! Was your ETA accurate?

Which app ? Can you share a link?
It is just the standard Ram app you find in the App Store. When the ladies finalize your finance paperwork they will create your account and email you a link to download the app etc. you won’t be able to do anything until they register/associate you and your new truck in the system.

We haven't had any access to that system for going on a week now. I tried again this morning with no luck.

Thanks Zach. My ETA is 4/18-4/25. I’m just hoping it shows up this week. Got a good deal so sold my Raptor already. Will patiently wait for pics.
