24 Raptor R = 720 HP

Sure, piss on a man's grave. Yeah, I am sure RAM has bigger fish to fry then keeping the TRX since their 2023 sales are in the toilet. 2500's average 724 days on dealer's lots....ouch.
MSRP's are just way too high and the ADM's have caused so much negative equity in the market, they will remain on the lot until insurance or bankruptcy takes hold.
Maybe if Ford had dropped the MY24 R instead of the MY23 R, RAM would have been forced to add more features and HP in the 23/24 TRX which would have been great. I cant help thinking RAM started the fight and quit way too early! I remember RAMS social media's accounts calling out ford on their twitter account making fun of the raptor by saying "pop the hood" on the release photos. Man how times have changed! I love the trx but the 24 R is sweet! The only thing putting me off a 24R is the wild mark ups of $20-$60k over, I doubt you can get one at MSRP these days.
Agreed! Until we can get an R @MSRP with the ability to incentivize TRX-specific owners with direct discounts (power broker style discount), sales will not be any better with the extra 20HP IMO. And the Ford quality issues, you are going to need to buy a hefty warranty to investment protect the replacement of at least 2x trannies before 75k miles. Not to downplay the RAM Clunker shaft, Uconnect hell, cutting corners on the interior, and MASSIVE BASE MSRP jumps yearly... No one is perfect, but as you said, the TRX is still my true love.

No doubt the R is a fantastic truck. When comparing MSRP for a 2023 R to a TRX, it might even be a better truck.

With that said, I will take my paid for 2021 all day over a Raptor R (or a new TRX). For those of us who got in early, the TRX was about as good of a deal as you could get. My Level II TRX sticker price was $85,500 (I paid $79,500 with extended warranty). I love my truck, but I'm sorry, neither truck is worth the $110,000 plus sticker price. I'm satisfied with the pedestrian 702hp in my truck.

COULD NOT AGREE MORE. I got my order in before the 1st price increase. Just under 89k for just about fully loaded. Also for 1.89% financing.
I love my TRX and will drive it until she dies. (or I do).

I fully expect most things to constantly get faster and perhaps better (debatable). But the prices I am seeing out there..... Yikes.

Buy hey, to each their own. I don't blame anyone with endless supplies of money, to buy the things they want. All the power to ya!

more than a few have gotten there’s at msrp or less than a 10K markup. At this point the R actually stickers for less than a TRX. If you can find a dealer willing to be reasonable you will get one for less than a 24 TRX.

Bumped into a guy here in town who got his Raptor R at MSRP. Do love all the folks on here still using ADMs as their justification for their happiness.

22 ram trx loaded up with goodies at 92k out the door will be my truck for awhile. Who cares about 18hp and a little weight. As most of us know, we can get a flex tune from disterhoff slap a pulley and injectors on and be doing high 10’s in the quarter mile. ❤️TRX forever baby .

I was just thinking last night about whether or not I wanted to start looking at what to get next and there's still no other standard production vehicle that makes me want to get rid of my TRX.

Rams 2500 is an underpowered joke compared to Ford and Chevy. That’s coming from a die hard Cummins fan.
I have no use for a diesel, until gm and ford come out with a PowerWagon beater it doesn't matter.

I guess to the people like me who got the TRX from a discount dealer back in 21-23 with $9000-$12000 off we got a great deal. I cant even imagine to pay any mark up for any vehicle! I just had a play around on the Ford website, the 24R is a touch over $20k more than what I paid for my 24 TRX at MSRP!! TRX for the win when it comes to cost.

I got my 22 Lvl 2 TRX for 78k at 1.9% apr. Only way I could justify a Raptor R is if my truck was stolen/totaled because current TRX prices are higher than the R. It would be a hard sale for any TRX owner to go to an R if they bought before all the price hikes.

I am in the same exact boat as you. 92K sticker otd price 80K
If I was in the market right now I wouldn’t have either truck to be honest. At 80K it was worth it. At 120K it’s just too much for me.
With that being said, times have changed and an 80K trx new just isn’t a thing. So in all reality a Raptor R is the better deal.

Ahhh the good old days. I ordered my truck November 21, when I got it in june 22 it stickered @ 96k I paid 81k. OTD 91k with maxcare warranty.

Your post got me curious, so priced out a 2023 Raptor R. I equipped it like my 2023 Lunar Edition. The Raptor came out $6k higher. I bought mine at MSRP. It seems MSRP deals on the R are very rare, so even if you could get one at MSRP, it's still ~$6k more expensive.

I've never driven a Raptor, but I have driven nicely equipped F150's. The Raptor still has way too much cheesy F150 plastic in the interior. The exhaust is pretty weak compared to the TRX and it has virtually zero blower whine. I was watching a review of the Raptor R and noticed they still don't have rear wheelhouse liners. A small gripe, but still pretty lame.

They are both good looking trucks, but the Ford is a bit too boxy for my taste. It would be nice to hold the HP title, but I'd rather have the sound and torque of the TRX.

Are you sure you didnt price out a 23 TRX?
raptor R is around 110-115 and non final edition trx is exact same range. final editions are 10K more than a raptor

EDIT i see your comparing your 23 to a raptor r 23.
24 to 24 trx is now more expensive

making a trx have the same equipment the R comes standard with (beadlocks, side steps, graphics, etc...)
TRX-116,000
R-112,000

Yep, 23 to 23. That's what @04Ram2500Hemi was comparing.

The 2024 Raptor R is $114k and the 2024 TRX would be a couple grand more. You can buy a 2024 TRX below MSRP. That's not possible with the Raptor R.

Anything is a possible for pricing.

In '20 RAM was all ears to the loyal owners, at the TRX's unveiling RAMs CEO's words were "you asked for it, we listened".
Poked fun at Ford for not giving two shits about the V8 calls from Raptor's 10+ years loyal owners.

Fast forward to '23 RAM didnt touch the TRX's performance, highly increased its MSRP, no stage kits, did nothing worth being called "special edition" other bringing out colors that normally sit neglected on the shelves, painted some wheels and stitching. Meanwhile so many available monster crate engines sit around and tons of 1000hp proven tuned TRX packages get sold poking at everyone it is absolutely possible.

Ford brought 700Hp packages for base trucks, improved the R suspension, gave it the missing HUD, a more aggressive look and now destroyed RAM's stupid 2hp claim of glory as the most powerful truck ever produced.

Ram's future look like absolute shit with old fart renamed trim trucks with their pockets empty and no gas to get us anything exciting to look for.
Our solutions:
1- Keep/tune your TRX and drive it until the wheels fall off:
1.5- Sell it get a '24 TRX and pay $125k for the same exact truck you already have;

2- Get a Raptor R which many including myself don't think it's worth the $$$
3-Give in and get a Hummer EV/cybertruck or some other stupid shit that will bore you 10 days after purchase.

Ford Motor Company currently holds the lead in number of recalls. 3 years in a row.
To be fair, i wish Ram would recall more items for the TRX that are just blatantly obvious. I am sure that is on purpose as most of the issues are not recall “worthy”. I digress…
