When did you order? Noticing random people getting vins relatively quickly vs others not.

My dealership last told me mine was further along than the 2nd order that was placed a few days after me.

I don't have any real reason not to be. 21-24 was pretty discount-heavy. I bought one from MD for a huge discount (10 or 11k off, IIRC). I would have to look up the paperwork. I should have done the same in 2022, but fumbled and paid MSRP because I did not look around for 5 minutes. Dumbass.

Even in 2021 and 2024 (first and last year) you saw discounts. They made ~55k of them over those 4 years. I have zero reason to think we won't see similar discounts and production numbers. I know, there are folks on here that have wild cases of FOMO and will pay now. That's fine. But, I will take Tim at his word, and the data from 2021-2024, and wait a few months.

You can already get MSRP at a ton of places. So, everyone is, in fact, not adding ADM and it's only July. If demand was as insane as some think every single dealer, perhaps not the MDs of the world, would be +$25k. But, we are not seeing that at all. Called local dealers on the island and over MSRP. Ordered out of state at MSRP. Not too bad of a ride.

So then my next question would be is there a chance to order sometime in October and take delivery of the truck before December ends? That’s roughly two months…

I ordered on 6/25. Called my dealer today and they told me the 1st allocation went thru. Im the second allocation which they said mines should be next. Sales manager told me to call them back on Monday so we shall see. Are you also in BG status ?

My dealer told me the first batch of 2600-3000 will be produced in 2026 and the next run will be well into 2027 and even though he was told he will have a certain number of allocations, none past this initial batch are guaranteed.

I ordered on 6/30 and was in BG till the 11th (when dealership gave me my vin and showed me on paper I'm in D status.) I haven't gotten any updates since the 15th from dealership.

Ordered 6/24 and still no VIN. I think most people who has a VIN now has the Black color since that's seems to be the color they are building the most of now. Every 27 ive seen show up at dealers is all Black

I got offered an MSRP allocation so I took it. I personally don’t think the TRX SRT will ever be discounted to much of a degree. We’re in a different world than when the Gen 1’s came on the market. The Raptor R has seen to that.

But I’m wrong way more than I’m right.

What's the difference? Is it moreso you can look to place and order but the order can potentially never be fullfilled?

I wouldn't bet on that. I ordered my 23 in October of 23 and it arrived in April of 24. But, it really just depends. Some orders are picked up quickly, produced quickly, zip through body vendor and are at the dealer in weeks. Some take months. Some never get picked up, are canceled, and moved to the next MY. That last one isn't common, but you get the idea.

That has happened. If these are true allocation only and also limited (which they won't be) your dealer may never get your truck truly ordered.

Yeah, so I guess it just all depends but having an allocation is ensured that it will go through.

Yeah. If that's your driving force you better get one off a lot. Even those who have a VIN today are garueteed nothing in terms of delivery date.

Some trucks spend months in a mysterious purgatory. Look at reports from a few years ago. BS to WS. Best case, same day...some guys had trucks sit for many months before leaving. No one really knows why.
