HOT! 2027 RAM TRX is Back as the Fastest and Most Powerful Production Gas Pickup Truck in the World

Tim Kuniskis was doing dual roles as head of North American brands and CEO of Ram. Now they found someone to take over that role but I’m sure Tim K’s still largely involved in bringing back as many V8’s as they can.

Just a little bit of a sinking feeling...last time they swapped someone out for Tim...yikes.

The 0-60mph times are still not close to 3.5sec, but also not at sea level 🤷‍♂️

Sooooooo, it appears that RAM removed the 0-60mph in 3.5sec from their website 😳 The fastest I have seen so far is 4.1sec. I wonder what the 0-60mph time really is and what this TRX SRT will dyno at compared to the TRX 🤔

Pretty sure for everyone that has tested it thus far it was very hot out and these trucks more than likely were heat soaked and running for hours being passed from journalist to journalist. Id like to see one tested at sea level on a nice 50 something degree fall morning.

Absolutely. They can send one to me here since I fit those conditions 🤠🤣

Scroll down on that landing page and the performance page. 3.5 sec 0-60 is still there on both web pages.
Oh hellllll, good catch! I wonder why it was moved from the other stats where it has been the entire time. Members on here should soon have some data for us.

The TRX does not have a traction problem, so it doesn't need a prepped surface to get the best numbers. The 0-60 tests so far have not been performed in optimal conditions. The '21-'24 TRX has already proven that it can run high 3's on the street, so there's no reason the '27 won't be able to run 3.5 or better on the street.

And? Everyone knows that manufacturers 0-60 times are exaggerated and require ideal conditions. Demon 170 anyone? Has anyone seen even a sub 4 sec to 60 yet in a ‘27? Maybe it’s capable but not reproducible.

Not true. Ram claims the '21-'24 TRX runs 0-60 in 4.5 seconds. There are a bunch of guys from this forum that have run 3.7-4.0 with stock trucks, on the street, using Dragy. With 75 additional HP and 30lb-ft torque, the '27's should be laying down mid 3's consistently.

Fair enough. Things have to be perfect (conditions and driver). Will be difficult to replicate. The Raptor R will still be faster 😉. I guess I’ll leave it at that.

Hmm, a RWD with lots of power vs. an AWD?

Not that I care one bit about 0-60s, but still. That's not a good comparison.

It’s the point. What’s suggested on paper can be damn near impossible to actually make happen.

I am genuinely curious what people will get when real tests happen.

21-24 Trx was 3.7
Raptor r 3.6

New Trx is quoted at 3.5 so we will see what independent testers get

Reality is that in a street scenario the .1 second difference would be who lifted off the brakes first, who had a bit of dirt in there lane etc… such a small difference the smallest of variable would make one or the other win.

TRX Forum Favs 👍
