HOT! 2027 RAM TRX is Back as the Fastest and Most Powerful Production Gas Pickup Truck in the World

Has to do with the entire drivetrain as much as the tires.
It's literally not but added all the other stupid shit you used to post on here I'm not surprised you think so.

Hilarious it says “RHO” on the digital cluster when turning on. How hard is it to change logos? My primary complaint with these digital clusters is they constantly do not show the car you are driving. IF I’m driving a red TRX I’d wants the graphics to be a red trx, I get its pre-production but I’ve heard TRX got pushed a RHO logo in the past also.

Will definitely be making my way back now! Everything about the reveal was great! But I would customize it a bit differently. Love the Ram splash but would do that without the two tone paint and red stripe as that makes it look too busy, I prefer simple.

I did call my local dealer today, same one where I bought my 2021 TRX and got on their wait list today.
They had no info on when the order bank would be open or how many allocations they would get on the first round.
Just thought I should at least start the process.

Yep, got an email from the GM at my local dealer.... All's he wanted was for me to get my order in. Doesn't seem to care about the details or delivery times.

Nice...i threw mine in with Craig at Ourisman CDJR since he is offering discounts off MSRP. Looking forward to the upgrade I see that others do not.

Bro, right?

100k and a FKIN 1995 Buick stops faster

Brakes work flawlessly....love them.

There has been more pissing and moaning about the new TRX than there was when Tavares killed it in 2024.

How does that work?
I was told today by my dealer the order bank is not open and they can’t build and price nor order them yet?

Would you mind sharing the contact details? I’m out in Texas but wouldn’t mind shipping if I can get a good deal. Thanks!

I'm sure other dealers on here will also chime in once more information becomes available.

As someone who has had a 2015, 2021 and 2023 charger hellcat, ram is doing the exact same shit. Same exact vehicle year after year with minor and I do mean minor changes and then raising the price.

It’s the same motor, trans, interior minus massaging seats and some “upgraded” suspension which I’m sure is exactly the same feeling as the first gen shocks. I also have a 2022 trx and nothing about this 27’ is worth getting rid of it for that. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Probably better to wait to the second model year

I don't know why they originally quoted 4.5 on the older models, but my 21' when stock had a couple 3.9 0-60. I know a ton of others have sub 4 sec runs.
Dodge/Jeep/Ram has under promised and over delivered on all of my Hellcat power vehicles. I've run 3.9 on my current TRX too. So I expect some of the new 2027's are going to run in the 3.0 to 3.3 range.

One of my Trackhawks would run 3.0 under prefect conditions (usually 3.1 or 3.2) but no matter how hard I'd try, I could never get to 2.9.

I might add a 0-60 3.0 launch is absolutely brutally. While 3.5 to 4.0 launches are really adrenaline rushes, getting to 3.0 boarders on scary. Think Millennium Falcon making the jump to light speed. (Well almost :) )

Can't imagine what it's like for drivers of AA fuel dragsters that hit it in less than a second.

Here are some documents I found that Ram supplied for the 2027 TRX. Unfortunately, it looks like there is no red-accent delete package. The red carbon fiber and interior emblems appear to be specific to the launch edition. The red stitching is not mentioned, so I'm guessing it is standard.

What I found interesting is in the engine specs...777hp @ 6,500 rpm. That is the same shift point as the redeyes. Stellanti's article about the 2027 TRX, as copied in the original post, states it still has a 2.4 IHI. The HP increase is from a raised shift point and, potentially, increased boost with a smaller pulley or better flowing intake system.

Edit: Looks like Stradale posted same time as me and found an article that mentions using the redeye valvetrain.
So my guess we can do that to ours and get the extra hp without unlocking our ECU?

I'm reading the below online, is this accurate? That's a big jump.

2024 TRX 4.5 0-60
2027 TRX 3.5 0-60
@2021HBTRX is correct. For some reason Ram quoted 4.5 even though car and driver ripped off a 3.7 during testing.

The current 3.5 may be accurate as a 70HP bump on this large of a truck probably equates to .2 second increase

I really want to know about any 37 inch tire option.

I would buy 3.5 as an accurate (although best case scenario), 1 ft rollout car magazine style hero run. With actual competition in the Raptor R, understating the performance again would be stupid. But huge gains just aren’t that easy to come by in this truck. 3-3.3 on 35s is “E85, and a lot more boost than they added” territory.

The 2027 should run pretty similar to an original TRX with a slip on pulley and intake. Maybe a bit quicker.
