HOT! 2022 Ram TRX Sell Down & 2023 Ram TRX Plans at Granger Motors

It sounds like you guys should be ordering fender flares to have on hand rather than asking customers to lie on the surveys. I understand that you want to be able to keep the discounts intact to retain the high volume of sales and profit but if it's a known defect that is routinely hurting you then the ability to repair quickly should be your first solution.
He just said they are on back order I can confirm that, instead of being an asshole just because you paid over sticker doesn’t mean you gotta take it out on these dudes that have done nothing but help the Trx community and making car sales a better overall experience

Greetings everyone! I hope this note finds you well.

1 - I wanted to give a quick update. We need the help of the people who purchased from us in order to keep this deal going moving forward. Stellantis has made a HUGE push on customer satisfaction and we are required to get a 980/1000 score average on our survey results. For us, that is very dependent upon our TRX deliveries. We've been have some issues getting to that result with the TRX coming in with light scratches on the plastic fender flares. These fender flares are backordered so we cannot deliver the truck in perfect condition within the 3 week timeframe and keep price protection intact. We absolutely will make the vehicle right and I believe our customers here can vouch for us in saying, that we have stepped up and made the outstanding issues right. Here is the question that we keep failing. We HAVE to have this question answered "None of the avove, my vehicle was delivered to me in perfect condition" if we don't our score drops to an 840 if everything else is perfect.

If we can't get this score up, we'll be forced to either cut our discount or go away from offering the discount completely. We want to make sure your experience is great and in my opinion, holding up your truck on backordered parts isn't the way to do that. So if you have recently or are going to take delivery of the truck in the short term I'd ask you'd give us a 1000 score on the survey, the biggest piece for us is this condition of the vehicle question.

2 - 2022 Sell Down - I've been informed again, that the production of the 2022 TRX will run through the end of this month. Since production has been delayed 1 month for the switch to 2023, we wanted to keep everyone informed of the changes.

3 - Changes for Sales Satisfaction - For 2023 we are going to be making some continued changes in the efforts of increased customer satisfaction. We have changed to 1 primary person to Perform the pre-delivery inspection, gas the vehicle (5 miles away to get premium), check for outstanding recalls, inspect, clean and buff the vehicle, etc. This change should lead to better consistency on the pre-delivery process.

As long as we can get the survey results we need, we will continue to offer a great deal on the 2023 Ram TRX trucks. They have adjusted our margins on some vehicles moving model years, so until we receive pricing, we can't be certain on what exactly the offer will be. But the survey results are the key to keeping this rocking and rolling.

Thank you guys!

Zach
I say you guys just stop the discounting especially after some of these comments on here no matter what you do right people will still fuck it up, I understand the survey thing you can do everything right tell the customers about it and they will still screw you.

Hey Zach, very cool of you to care so much! I didn't buy my 22 TRX from you, I bought from my local dealer. Truck had two pretty big scratches on the leather dash cover. I should expect my dealer to fix that, no? They're kinda noncommittal and it's not sitting well. I salute you for caring about your customers and believe that when those fenders are in, you'll take care of it. Hope my dealer has the same mindset. If they don't, any suggestions? This truck was way too expensive to have scratches on the dash.

This is what I want the answer to. I have a 22 ordered in D status still... :(
I've been told that they're no longer doing 22 builds. And that when production of your order begins, they will ping you to say this is a 23 now, and do you want any mods from your 22 build. I can't guarantee this but my broker is a badass and this is what he told me. Dude knows everything about every car/truck out there, it seems. Good luck. The 23 is gonna be epic. I was going to build a 23, but found a ridiculously sweet 22 right in my back yard and couldn't wait for this BEAST a minute longer.

ZACH,

I am picking up my TRX from you this week. I have been working with Amanda & Caitlyn. Everything about my Granger experience has been 1000/1000 to date. I could not be happier with Granger. That being said ... I've flipped thru this message board with some of the buyers responses (polish/trim etc.) to your post, I plan to be extremely deferential and go in wanting, really wanting to give you that 1000/1000 ... so I hope whatever lessons on the trim and polish from the constructive posts could be incorporated into my pick up.

Just keeping it real that I will have 1,400 mile drive to obsess about anything off or missed (even with my big picture you guys are awesome experience want to reciprocate with anything in return including this or any other survey)

That being said dude ...thanks for everything ..really appreciate you and Granger. you have a ton of good will built up ... look forward to doing everything i can to help you guys out

Funny man. I haven’t actually paid anything because the truck is stuck in shipping purgatory but when I do eventually it will be $10k under MSRP with price protection.

I made a valid point and Zach provided a reasonable explanation in reply for why they can’t keep a supply on hand.

as far as the fender flares go…. I’ve had my truck for a year…. The problem is the flares…. You can replace them until the cows come home. I even had mine ceramic coated. They literally scratch with a light run of your finger nails over them. They’re defective and I’d describe them as being a lemon part… especially as flares on an off road truck. This never happened on my raptor.

I am looking at alternatives…. I’m thinking line-x the fender flares and plastic parts to match the bumpers.

The survey should not be dependent on something beyond Granger’s control.

Funny you say this because I had slight scratch on my fender flare that my wife pointed out to me the day I picked it up. But I know world isn't prefect and was so dam pleased with the deal you honored with no strings attached, I gave you guys a glowing review. Still today, I tell everyone I meet how awesome you guys are and would buy with you again. I hope that I can put my first reserve for the new Ram electric truck with you guys when they open. ;)

Agree with this statement 100%. I was super picky my first week and annoyed there were a few rubs/scratches on the fender flares. However, over time, you realize there is nothing you can do to protect them. For example, my electrician walked past my truck and barely rubbed the fender flares with a legal pad and he was shocked at the huge scratch it left behind. Unreal. I too had mine ceramic coated and it does nothing to help. I agree with Ewea-these things are defective/poorly made from day one and nothing anyone can do can keep them perfect.

I hope you’re right I have been waiting for my truck I ordered it on March 6 still can’t get an answer other than it’s in D1 status at this point I would hope that it turns into a 23 after waiting this long just sucks that you can’t get an answer from anybody on anything

FD: I did not order from Granger.

I did not and will not provide Ram with misinformation regarding the condition of my truck at delivery. Even though the dealership owner and GM are friends of mine. I let them know about all the paint and flare scratches. The light paint scratches were easily polished out, but I found scratches under the black hood scoop decal. Meaning it was scratched at the factory and or in up fit. There was a deep scratch on top the hood, took hours of hand buffing to remove...but it disappeared under the PPF.

If RAM is dinging the dealers for the delivery condition of the vehicle, then RAM expects the dealerships to correct the issues prior to delivery.....regardless. If RAM and its dealers cannot figure it out, that is between RAM and its dealers.

@Zach@Granger

Just got my survey today and pickup on Saturday the 2nd. I would love to give a 10 for sure. Noted if there is damage and parts on backorder - yet need to keep it real and make sure all is well. As for the purchase process, the quick build, and the working with your finance team with my own external financing - that part thus far has been 10/10 and is appreciated.

Ram put out an internal memo telling the plant workers to be careful last year and stop throwing the flares around with pictures of them laying on the floor stacked on top of each other with no protection on them. They obviously haven't gotten the point a year later.

With all the ADM dealers out there charging several thousand over MSRP or doing bait & switch tactics, helping out the dealers who save customers several thousands of dollars easily should earn a great review. Two flares on my TRX were scratched to hell, I didn't blame the dealer for it. I put the fault at Ram for letting it leave the plant faulty especially after I have photos of multiple TRX's scratched up in the plant similar to mine.
The survey is asking specific questions and if doesn’t reflect reality or the truth then why put a perfect score? Because the dealer is giving a discount or selling at msrp? If it’s asking about the condition of the paint and it’s scratched why they hell would someone put it was perfect condition? If there are questions about the process, them getting back to you in a timely manner, would answer all your questions absolutely they received an excellent score. People that travel way over there pick it up and have to drive it back are excited to FINALLY have it and or due to weather conditions ( super windy and cold when I went) just do a quick over view and wanna start driving back and get home. I received the survey a week before picking up the truck so I waited until I got home and could really over look things. Like someone stated before there were scratches on the hood like a dirty rag or maybe a belt buckle scratched while cleaning. They all have the highest score from me but when it came to the paint questions I put the truth.

When I took delivery of my 2021 the fenders had a couple marks on them. I didn’t pay much attention because I knew I eventually would have them sprayed with Line-X. It’s one of my favorite mods on my past couple of trucks.

Just so we are all clear......

So you want your customers paying $90+K or thereabouts for a limited production truck and who have waited 3-6 months or even longer to potentially lie on customer satisfaction surveys? WTF. IMO that is complete BS. It sounds like the issue you and the rest of the dealers have is with Stellantis, not the customers. Perpetuate complete dishonesty for your gain and using your customer as the tool? Take this up with the manufacturer. Truck and car prices and deals will ebb and flow. With the impending market collapse (inflation, interest rates, a 2nd pandemic per Biden) these trucks and other vehicles value will be altered dramatically. Today's prices and discounts mean nothing in 6-12 months. Kudos for taking care of the customers and following up/fixing issues....but to ask everyone to blindly give you 1000/1000 on a survey really knocks your credibility. You/Granger have already made substantial profits from all of the loyal customers and followers of this forum.....this goes too far.

As a whole? Absolutely not. Let’s ask Zach how much in TRX sales Granger has made? That’s exactly why he’s pleading with his customers or potential customers. Just do the work, treat the customer fairly and the positive reviews will come

Obviously not as a whole, but do you give a shit what a dealer makes or is it more important what you’re saving. Realistically for most people this is a minimum 10k savings over most other dipshit dealers. Could it be going better, I’m sure it could, but is it worth fucking it up for future customers?
