Am I the only one with a VIN where the last six start with a 7 (seven)? I see lots of nines and sixes, but no sevens. Anyone else on here know if their VIN starts with a 7?

Am I the only one with a VIN where the last six start with a 7 (seven)? I see lots of nines and sixes, but no sevens. Anyone else on here know if their VIN starts with a 7?

FCA/Ram seemed to have changed the vin sequence around the time of the merger with “Cilantro “ a few weeks ago. All vin numbers are issued randomly. Don’t worry. Cheers

Remember, you're talking to the guy who's Jeep order ended up in a train wreck and subsequently buried in a pit by the railroad - so I worry for a reason...(LOL)
Seriously, though, have you noticed that although the last five digits may be random, the one prior (six from the end) are either nines or sixes? I know the digits prior all are codes meaning something - is that sixth from the end a coded digit, or random? I suppose I could look at the Monroneys of those given the sticker to see if there's a pattern that follows the nines and sixes...
BTW - I DO like your name for the new merger - much better than theirs.

Speculation is part of an IT integration with Peugeot. Either assuming their sequencing or identifying a change over in the system.
