First test n tune with the TRX. It was a cold (46 deg) night and a lot of moisture in the air so they ended up shutting down early as the track started getting wet but we were able to at least get a few passes in and some valuable data for the next time. This was the first TnT at this track for the year and the track surface was horrible. The traction was worse than running on a virgin street. The Nitto Recon Grapplers was pulling rubber off the track and probably pissing off the guys on slicks....lol
4/15/2022 4PM-7PM
Bremerton Raceways 1/8 mile track (I was disappointed as it used to be a 1/4 track until a couple of years ago)
46 degrees, overcast, 45' elevation with a -240ft DA
Truck setup:
Full weight with nothing removed,1/2 tank of 92 octane pump gas with 2oz of Boostane added to bump up to 94 octane, Sport mode, auto shift and 37x12.50R20 Nitto Recon Grapplers aired to 50psi.
1st pass: 8.400 @ 91.11mph with a 2.208 60'
1500rpm launch - smoked the tires all the way through 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear before I let off and got back on it.
2nd pass: 9.187 @ 73.98mph with a 2.014 60'
1000rpm launch - spun the tires and wheel hopped so violently that the PCM pulled a bunch of timing and made only 2# of boost (explains the time and mph)
3rd pass: no time (8.55 @ 88.90mph with a 2.08s 60' according to Dragy)
Off idle launch - spun the tires and wheel hopped not nearly as bad as the previous run (no timing pulled, 15# boost made)
4th and final run (track closed early due to moisture in the air) 7.622 @ 94.47mph with a 1.924 60'
Off idle and rolled into the throttle - no tire spin but obviously a very soft launch. Pulled hard all the way down the track and through the traps.
The truck has a ton of potential and I cant wait to get the 32" Nitto Drag radials on it for our first trip to Pacific Raceways and a fully prepped 1/4 track. Based on the numbers from this day, I can see 1.45-1.5 60', 7.0 1/8 and high 10's in the 1/4 as the goal.
