I've got a high pitched whistle that corresponds directly to the wind noise on my truck that I can't figure out. Doesn't seem to be coming from the doors. Maybe the dash? The windshield? Anyone else have this problem?
No RambarI noticed a whistle after I installed my rambar. Do you guys have rambars?
That sucksI have it also. Since I picked it up brand new. There is a thread somewhere that the guy had it fixed. They have to take out the whole dash which is why I’ve been hesitating. It’s some seal that has to be replaced.
I'll have to find this thread. I'm having the dealership fix my dash because it got a scratch in it when some lights were being installed. Since it'll be out, I'd like to take care of this ahead of time.I have it also. Since I picked it up brand new. There is a thread somewhere that the guy had it fixed. Maybe I'll try and get them to reseal the windshield firstMy truck is currently at the dealer with this issue. There is a service bulletin where they pull the dash and re seal the firewall. The dealer performed this work, and confirmed they still hear the whistling wind noise. They are now having a 3rd party glass company come out to re seal the windshield…hopefully ill get a positive resolution sometime next week

Dealer is going to replace the cowl firstHas anyone with this problem found a solution yet ?
My issue hasnt been resolved yet, but might as well give a update. So they originally checked the HUD clips and even added some foam/seal inside the driver side A-pillar. Tested and noise was still there. For some reason RAM recommended they have my windshield re-sealed. Dealers dont do glass, so that job had to be farmed out 3rd party, which took over a week for them to come and do the work. Test drive, noise still there…so my SA tells me at that point another tech remembered of having a similar issue on another truck he worked on. In that trucks case, they checked the cowl area and found a seal or plug that wasnt sitting right. That ended up being the culprit for that truck. In my case, they checked the cowl, and found the same, a plug that they could access by hand was loose and they could stick their finger through. So they are confident that is where my noise is coming from, RAM has a oem seal kit that was 5 days out a week ago…so I hope the seal job they can access from the cowl fixes my issue. Otherwise SA says RAMs next recommendation is to remove the dash…and just hearing that phrase makes my balls itch. Ill update hopefully soon with good news.Has anyone with this problem found a solution yet ?
