What are you all paying?

I paid MSRP as my salesman claimed the manager "wouldn't budge" but I convinced them to give me $53k for my 19' fully loaded Ram 1500 limited with 18k miles when its really only worth about $48k trade in but i've done a lot of business with them in the past and they treat me well....I was just lucky my local dealership was able to get an allocation

MSRP for non-LE in Delaware...purchased just over the line in Maryland

I am paying MSRP. Could have gotten LE for MSRP as well. I ordered a Raptor in 2017 when they first came out and paid MSRP as well. Currently have a 2019 Raptor that I paid MSRP for. Just call dealers and tell them you are ready to put down a deposit, but only at MSRP. I've had dealers initially want to upcharge, but then call back and agree to MSRP. I found multiple dealers agreed to MSRP on TRX. Just takes some legwork. Start by calling the largest dealers in your area.

10K over for LE here. Not proud of it but the non-LE were 5K over and I really like the Anvil. I have had my current truck for 12 years so I figured it was worth the extra bit since I will be driving it for so long (Hopefully). I am sure I could've had a better deal somewhere else but here in West Texas these trucks sell like crazy. Most of the raptors are still sold with ADM for most of the year when I recently looked.
Kyle - I own an oil and gas services company in Midland and have bought tons of Rams, none from a West Texas dealer. They all suck. I've bought from south Texas, East Texas and North Texas and just had trucks shipped to Midland. As of last week, Autonation in Fort Worth had an LE that they would sell at MSRP.

That is how you do it!! Good job!!

I got my non-LE at MSRP. Dealer said they were 5k over for LE trucks, but I cannot confirm or deny that because I wasnt looking for an LE...I hope to get good value on my 2019 Ram when I trade him in on the TRX whenever it comes in.

I'm looking and the best deal I'm being offered is 4K over MSRP. I'm worried that this will be a limited edition Ram. Are you all getting better deals or is the norm? Any word that they will run the TRX for a few years? I don't want to "jump the gun" and be taken advantage of but on the other hand I do not want to miss out.
Glenbrook Dodge in Fort Wayne Indiana has one available at MSRP

This one is a tough call. If we get a serious 2nd round of the virus, this winter, and the economy continues to tank, I can realistically see TRX trucks sitting on dealer lots at discount in the Spring. However, right now, the car business is booming and could continue if the virus doesn't hit us hard, again. I also realize a few thousand dollars, either way on a $80 - $90K truck isn't going to change a lot of people's decision.....but the non-LE TRX trucks are going to be mass-produced and depreciating assets from day 1. TBD whether the LE will hold value, or even increase like the Demon, but certainly possible. I was reminded over the weekend watching a Mecum re-run that mass-produced vehicles are rarely investment grade. They had a '07 Shelby GT500 that someone had bought, likely with a healthy ADM, kept in plastic for 13 or 14 years with almost no miles and it sold for a few grand below the original MSRP.....wasted money for the seller and a great deal for the buyer.

I agree to disagree here. Do you know how FCA is able to produce so many high hp vehicles while other manufacturers have to build hybrids to maintain certain emissions standards across the whole line? Well they already said the Durango hellcat will be one year only. With Cafe laws changing in the next year I believe the Durango is a sign of the future. Without getting political, 1 of two possibilities will happen concerning the TRX and either way, the signs point to increasing value in the coming years. Especially if it's only a year, maybe two of production. Besides, they wouldn't badge a "massed produced" vehicle unless they knew there was a reason. I believe the TRX is a investment opportunity, at least more so than most new vehicles. You just have to be mindful of what's happening with the industry as a whole. ?

I'm interested to see how many of the MSRP guys find out the dealer wants ADM when they come in to sign paperwork. I don't wish it on anyone but these dealers are notorious for shit like that.

My dealer put MSRP in writing for me. Maybe they will try to bait and switch, but I dont seriously think that is going to be happening. I suppose that if they try that I will have to fight to get my deposit back and buy from elsewhere or just eat the ADM...have plenty of time to think about that when I am living in a van down by the river

Nothing in writing on my MSRP, but thankfully the salesman I purchased from is a friend of 15-20 years. He told me price so that's what I put a deposit on.

They also tried to get ADM on their other allocations, with no takers for weeks, I think they finally backed off ADM and sold the other allocations at MSRP too.

Two guys I referred to my salesman put down deposits... so out of 4 total allocations, I sent them 3 (including my own).

Interesting analysis by both. I thought I read the Hellcat durango's issue was not CAFE related (fuel economy) but emissions in the sense of how polluted the exhaust is? But I'm no expert, just thought I read that.

At any rate I think TRX won't appreciate anytime in the near future, my opinion is it will lose value just less fast that the run of the mill truck. Like the Raptor. I can't imagine they would limit it to only a one or two year run, especially if there is demand. As long as there is demand and FCA can figure out how to make money on it they will still build them , even if they have to redo stuff to be compliant with whatever rules come out.

However all that being said I just think these are really cool trucks with some great engineering and the market as a whole is devoid of anything fresh. The fact that we can now get a pickup that has this kind of performance in it is really cool. I mean 5-10 years ago this wouldn't even seem possible!

Yeah in hindsight I should've done more legwork and called dealers outside of my area for the LE. I have never bought a truly "new" vehicle so I am certainly not experienced in that regard. The 3 closest are all owned by the same people so that didn't work well in my favor. I was more concerned that as people started buying LE's that the price for the remaining ones might actually go up (which is exactly what they want you to think). Oh well, the deposit is placed and I will still get the truck I wanted. I can live with the extra cost and will just know not to do business with them again.

At least a bird dog fee.

Autonation in Houston has like 6, including a LE

When was that? A salesman there told me that they didnt have any more (he was willing to show me a 2021 limited if I wanted to come down for a test drive), so I ordered mine this morning from a dealer in New Braunfels. Not like it is a big deal to drive out of Houston, I have friends in San Antonio anyway, but would have been cool to get one local I think...if at MSRP.

I have found that the salesman are really uninformed. On mine, i had to explain the fact that they've already been given an allocation and that if that allocation has not been promised to another customer, they can modify their allocation to reflect what I wanted (may be too late for that now). In any case, if you are just talking to a sales guy, tell him to go talk to his manager.
