Warranty Engine Replacement

I am not impressed with the factory warranty, at least for power train items. I am waiting for the third transmission to be installed on mine. Truck has 1700 miles on it. About a month and a half to change the first one, which lasted 200 miles. I am closing in on a month waiting on this one. Dealer said that the authorization request was submitted last Friday and that it’s a two week decision making process. Then, if they get authorization, they have to order the new transmission. Dealers just don’t seem interested in power train warranty work. They just get to it when they get to it. I just hope it’s actually fixed this time. If I have to do it again, I don’t know if I will go through the warranty.

Went to multiple dealers. I am actually at a different dealer than the one who installed the last transmission. All of them seemed real uninterested in doing the work. All of them said they could not even look at it for three weeks or more depending on the dealer. Even went next door to another state, same deal. Which is crazy for a bone stock TRX with less than 2k miles.
We're sorry to hear of this experience, Ryan. Our team would like to review your concerns while your vehicle is at the dealership. If assistance is required, please reach out to us, and we will do our best to assist where able.

Chris,
Ram Cares

How's it going for you? Any luck?
Well, once they finally conducted the leak down test (sat there for a week and did nothing) it passed the test. So then they figured it was an electrical issue. Currently they are going back and forth with Ram (so they claim) to get the PCM replaced.

Thank you for the information. I will definitely be seeking reimbursement. Someone shared a person's info from stellantis with me and I reached out to them and they lit a fire under someone's ass because I just finally got approval to replace the engine. Hallelujah!!!
Were you still under factory warranty?

Ooof that's a tough one. What dealership?
I delt with 2 dealerships during my 181 day ordeal. Folsom had the truck for 2 months, truck was moved to Sacramento for the remainder of the time. I did not perceive any benefit from involving Ram Cares. My case manager was difficult to understand because of his accent and if he did expedite anything, I was unaware. Any information he passed on to me I already had from the dealer. I was disappointed with their assistance to say the least.

Anyone else here that has gotten their engine replaced under warranty? How long was your truck at the dealer for? Mine has been at the dealer two months and they haven't even gotten approval. They have been going back and forth with warranty because they requested a bunch of photos and reports. 3 weeks ago they had request some final documentation and the dealership still hasn't heard back. 3 WEEKS. How could it possibly take this long to review documents? My advisor says there's no number to call and that they only communicate through messages. RAM customer care is useless. They got some Indian call center who doesn't even understand wtf you're trying to say.

I've been in a rental that they are paying $40/day for... You think they'd speed things up a little. I probably won't get my truck back for another 2/3 months at this point. Paying for it to just rot in the dealers lot. 😤
You ever get this fixed man? I'm having an issue now with my 2023, would be nice if you wanted to share that STALLantis contact with me in my DM messages. lol thanks man!
