I had some friends in high school that got into buying super cheap junkers would clean them up and make 100-300$ per car. Micro margins made sense for them, mainly because they couldn’t afford to go bigger

Yes some of those dealers will have them sit, and the msrp dealers will move inventory quicker. The market is nowhere near as crazy as when the trx first came out but the markup does indeed happen.
