Hopefully you can discern the difference btwn my mud terrains and the exhaust hum. No drone- sounds great!
So I'm a 45 yr old white male and I'm looking to quiet my truck down about 40 decibels. Has anyone had luck doing this?
If I had to guess I would say they are a smidge quieter since they have some holes and Sound deadening inside like OEM, Whereas the SLP‘s are straight through with no holes. SLPs are just like straight piping with a slightly bigger pipe. Both sounds soooo good!!Dang. I mean… I like how my truck sounds stock… but I do want to go louder.
Slp was on my list just because of ease. Are the vibrants louder?
Hahahaha i think TRXNUT covered that one well. What I really like about this thread, and I’ll probably end up changing the name, is how many different actual sound clips we’ve shared. When I look through some other exhaust threads, there is a whole bunch of nonsense for nine pages and maybe one or two clips. Thanks for sharing. At this point, you’ve got to do the SLPs for a trifecta. For science.
Yes, I agree totally. Maybe we can make a seperate thread and the mods can make it a sticky so it can be for just sound clips and exhaust manufacturers/prt#s info, no chit chat just sound and info?Hahahaha i think TRXNUT covered that one well. I love that idea! I def think the Mods would love it tooYes, I agree totally. Maybe we can make a seperate thread and the mods can make it a sticky so it can be for just sound clips and exhaust manufacturers/prt#s info, no chit chat just sound and info?
I belong to another group, V8Buick.com and when there's a certain topic that constantly cones up or a thread that contains a lot of valuable information the mods will make it a "sticky" thread that is always at the top of the list. The threads with the red pin in the screenshot are the sticky threads.
I had a feeling you would like them!Haha theyre only 2 hours old but so far theyre winning me over too! Going to hit hwy in 6 minutes so ill report back on hwy drone if any
Have had them (Vibrant 1794) fitted for about a month. They sound amazing. Best I have heard out of all the resonator swaps/deletes.I think these Vibrants are winning me over. Very nice!
Your wish is my command
Whoop!! I feel like you know you've made it in life if your forum thread makes it to Sticky status hahaYour wish is my command
I am about to finally pull the trigger on an exhaust for ours, this is the longest we have kept a vehicle with a stock exhaust, two years! If I had to guess I would say they are a smidge quieter since they have some holes and Sound deadening inside like OEM, Whereas the SLP‘s are straight through with no holes. SLPs are just like straight piping with a slightly bigger pipe. Both sounds soooo good!!
I had black widows for a while, I don't know exactly how they compare to the vibrant or SLP in person though.I am about to finally pull the trigger on an exhaust for ours, this is the longest we have kept a vehicle with a stock exhaust, two years!
Our current state requires an inspection so straight pipe is unfortunately off the table.
Want the closest thing to a delete, so it seems like the SLP 31066 is my move, just making sure before I grab one. Any other random ones that would be between the SLP 31066 and a delete?
SOOO just to summarize the loudness
Quieter-
Stock
Vibrant (1794)
SLP (31066)
Delete
Louder-
