UAW walks out at SHAP - producer of RAM pickups

Wow If it stoped here(I don’t think it will) those three special edition colors just turned into a very valuable collectors car.
The Harvest Sunrise is the only one that has gotten a window sticker. All 3 of them are "Production Evaluation Run" vehicles. Not sure if the Night Edge Blue and Delmonico Red will ever get stickered.

Well my converted 23 almost made it out of production....darn it. only a couple more weeks to ship date.

At what stage can you see them for your data? I can see a night edge blue if I squint real hard from Louisiana .... but can't do anything with it until it's invoiced

So does this stop the production on the TRX?
No it just slows it down until they go back to work. Hopefully it won’t be long as it’s probably the most profitable plant they have , and heard they are upset at Stellantis headquarters.
Holy crap guys!! I just made the cut by a few days as the 24 that is headed my way is sitting on rails so not being held up per my dealer but it just was placed on rail a few days ago...I waited since early Feb for this and can't believe the drama this year has caused... I feel flipping horrible for anyone else that is sitting on a pending build at this point as you guys have had to weather the damn storm and put up with so much uncertainty and endless delays...Now this! UGH! I hope the strike ends soon for everyone's sake and hope they get an amicable resolution so we can get back to buying and driving ridiculously fast fun trucks and talking smack like the good old days.
i was gonna say got out of DODGE just in time huh?🤗🤗

Build sheet publication.

So the TRXs being assembled right are being done with a disgruntled skeleton crew? Good luck with one of those. I prefer my vehicles be built by gruntled workers.

Wish I had a job that paid enough where I was happy my socialist leadership ordered me to stop working just in time for Christmas shopping.

Drove by the Baltimore port a few weeks ago. Bursting at the seams with ram trucks. SHAP must have been on overtime the last couple months.

Almost every big 3 dealers are full. I have a smaller GMC, and medium size ford and CDJR nearby that was always low on cars for years, they have cars triple parked like Tetris on the grass their lot is so full. The UAW workers are only on $500 a week while that fund is still available, my guess is that if a deal isn’t cut before thanksgiving, which seems to be what I’ve been reading, they’ll wait out the workers to run out of money to make it more easy to seal a deal.

With so many days of supply, frankly parts taking the biggest hit since the rates, economy and everything else associated is crap still.

These people are happy to walk out to take 1/5th of their pay, and take “strike bridge loans” tell me who’s really making the money off this. I don’t get it, make a deal.

They're US unionized "skilled" labor, they're all disgruntled all the time anyway... 🍻

Why yes they were. Mandatory 6 days a week and 24 hours a day. And last September mandatory 90 days 7 days a week 24 hours a day. Nice equalized family life huh!

Yea, I like the analog instrument cluster from 21-22 better. I may try to swap my digital version for that. Haven’t decided yet until I spend some time with it, but it definitely doesn’t look as good IMO.

Really? I had the analog cluster for 2 years in my 21 and I liked the digital cluster better right away. Now that I've had it for 2 months, no way could I go back. You can go from a very simple display, which I prefer, to information overload.

At least until we elect a Republican president and Congress and we get rid of all this EV shit and then we will have our V8s back, and all our oil refineries pumping again!

What... Can't I hope for sanity again? 😁🇺🇲

Leave politics out of the discussion please.

Wow I’m like you in I barely got my 24 built that was ordered on 2-9-23. I just received an email 2 days ago saying it was shipped on the 19th. Not sure exactly what that means but it sounded good to see at least it was built after waiting almost 9 months now and counting…..
So I ordered the same day as you, mine shipped 10-18 but prob on the same train ( or the short bus as I like to refer it to) as yours...we were lucky for sure.. Im willing to bet that this complicates things even if they try to catch up... We saw clearly that they will do whatever they want to do regardless of being favored or not..so they could chop the V8's and just start on the hurricanes and say fuck it, and maybe send whomever is left waiting, an $11k certificate to apply towards the new TRX...? I just hope they survive the Chicago crime rings when they arrive at the yard down there fir transport pick-up and actually make it to the dealerships they were intended...

I 100% disagree with you. I don’t think I could ever look at another analog cluster again. Just seems so outdated when compared to digital.

Why do you need a digital cluster when you have a 12” infotainment screen and the HUD to give you the same information? Lol I get the utility of it, but aesthetically it leaves something to be desired. The fit and finish of the Level 2 TRX is just perfect with the analog cluster. I know some will disagree, but I have an old soul and think things like that just age better. Everytime I look at the digital cluster it just looks cheap IMO. Ford has moved to the same thing on their trucks and I don’t like it either. I am not opposed to a well done digital cluster, but Ram sticks the same one in all of their trucks, so there is nothing unique about the TRX cluster besides the drive modes and TRX icons. Ram could have did a better job IMO.

I prefer the analog myself for similar reasons. It’s just what when I think of a performance car, I think of the gauges. It’s like back in the 90s with the big autometer gauges.

It's so much easier scrolling through all of that information on the EVIC because you can do it with the buttons on the steering wheel without taking your eyes off of the road. Ram sticks the same analog clusters in all of their truck too. Round dials are unnecessarily busy. I don't need 3/4's of my display taken up by two giant dials.

We went through a similar transition in aviation 25 years ago. The old school guys pissed and moaned about the change and tried to make the reliability argument. Funny thing is, you can't find anyone that is willing to go back to round dials anymore. You'll come around sooner or later and when you do you'll wonder what the hell you were thinking. 🤣
