Drove by the Baltimore port a few weeks ago. Bursting at the seams with ram trucks. SHAP must have been on overtime the last couple months.
Almost every big 3 dealers are full. I have a smaller GMC, and medium size ford and CDJR nearby that was always low on cars for years, they have cars triple parked like Tetris on the grass their lot is so full. The UAW workers are only on $500 a week while that fund is still available, my guess is that if a deal isn’t cut before thanksgiving, which seems to be what I’ve been reading, they’ll wait out the workers to run out of money to make it more easy to seal a deal.
With so many days of supply, frankly parts taking the biggest hit since the rates, economy and everything else associated is crap still.
These people are happy to walk out to take 1/5th of their pay, and take “strike bridge loans” tell me who’s really making the money off this. I don’t get it, make a deal.
