There is technology in the works that will measure ambient alcohol odors BAC based on your breath filling the cabin.

No car currently has any sort of ignition override to turn off either- including the 2027 TRX


The facts are these- if you want a new TRX and don’t want any of these spy features, the 2027 model is the guaranteed to not have them. There is no guarantee the 2028 won’t as the mandate is slated to be implemented in a year from now- likely making the cars more expensive.

Ya know in the beginning I was trying to be helpful for those looking. I honestly truly love the hunt for a vehicle which is largely why I’ve had over 50 at this point and finding at the best deal possible is even more so fun. Then it was for entertainment purposes but that’s getting worn out so I’ll stop sharing.

But I will still help anyone who genuinely needs or wants help. I’ve helped numerous people and friends find and negotiate deals. It’s fun and rewarding. When the sandblast and lunar came out, 4 forum members bought through my help at MSRP.

Keep doing what you are doing if they don't believe they don't have to. Getting everyone to understand is impossible, don't try. You guys got to take your tin foil hats off. There is no way for any of the tech to detect drunk driving in the 27 TRX. Yes there is a mandate for vehicles but it is in a holding pattern until Nov 2027. This TRX has no such technology. The ONLY camera is an infrared one that detects eye movements and head movements. It can’t detect slurred speech, droopy eyes, and hallmark glassy eyes. You need a real camera with full on AI detection for that.

So no, the TRX is 100% unable to detect any sort of impaired driving.

Just stop with your nonsense.

Dude, you cannot test for nystagmus without making the eyes reach maximum movement from side to side and up and down. The truck isn't give you a field sobriety test LMAO

Maybe not yet but with the pace technology is advancing might not need those parameters. You said IR cameras cannot do things they are used for im pointing out you are not fully correct. I also believe you don't understand how complex the systems in these trucks are and what they can be made capable of. Slurred speech that can come from your hands free mic and recorded data of your normal speech patterns. Sensors in the steering wheel mechanism that can understand off balance by how you jerk the wheel. Geo data information that can say where you last were and how long you stayed there. As I mentioned earlier courts ruled the manufacturers can tap into your phones and use that data how ever they like. Got a banking app they can see you purchasing drinks or whatever. My point is there is alot more going on and possible than you might want to believe. Not saying it's guaranteed just that it is possible. Think more about stuff will really help you see the bigger picture. Everything we have now a days for the most part is spyware it's just in how it gets used and you get no control over that.

You’re admitting our concern right there. Regardless what the 27 can do, it’s about what comes next. And then after that. Not to mention, the 27 detects eye movement, you get into a wreck, can they pull that data and see where your eyes were and then shift blame? Maybe not now but the next one? Or if they could for the 27? Who’s to really say. I love the tinfoil hat title, it’s not an insult. We’ve been right more than wrong here last several years

I've just about talked myself out of getting another new TRX. I may consider a low mileage ~2024 model before a 2027 after all the problems I have read about. Still considering waiting for a Rumble Bee too but I'm concerned they too will be plagued with 1st year run problems. Anybody keeping up with the RaptorR and if they are having "unresolved" problems?

I live in tx and know several dudes that drink and drive. That's exactly what the cameras are for. So your sparky post just isn't needed.
