Tazer DT

Hey guys, i have a 22 trx and my tazer has been working great for the month ive had it (amber drls, folding mirrors)
But last night the tazer beeped while i was driving and flashes red 3 times around every 30 secs . I haven’t noticed any issues or anything not working properly but was wondering if anyone knows why this is? Thanks

I just received my Tazer from the 4th of July group buy. I was able to install the most recent firmware 18.1.5. I connected the proper cables and accessed the Tazer menu with the ignition in Run. Based on the videos I watched my next step should be to marry it, however, when I cycle through the options it goes, light show, Read dtcs, clear dtcs, and the next thing I should see is Marry? Unfortunately that is not what I see. See pics for my next menu options before I see Full Reboot. Has anyone seen this before or had this issue? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, if this has been answered before I apologize. View attachment 47230View attachment 47231View attachment 47232View attachment 47233
I could be wrong, but it looks like the download failed. Were all the files downloaded completely?

Basic Tazer question - do you have to keep it plugged in at all times? I come from having a Cobb Accessport on my Raptor and when I wasn't loading a tune or messing with the dynamic pedal settings, the Accessport was locked in my console.

@Boosted let's talk about the 23 TRX. I Just placed my order for the truck a week ago and I know I have a 2-3 month wait. What are the odds that the Tazer will be ready in the next month or two. I'm on the fence about getting a tazer. It has some great features I want however seems a bit glitchy with Uconnect.
There’s no way to know for sure if it will work on the 23’s until they actually have one to test it on.

Easiest just to leave it plugged in. Also, if you want to use the Live Features, it has to be plugged in.

Question. It may have been covered but i don’t feel like searching thru 27 pages. Did we ever find out whether we are damaging anything by using the Tazer to force it into 2WD?

Any update on Tazer with a ‘22 and the Uconnect 5.0 issues?

No, not yet however I have installed the Tazer DT on numerous 22's without any issues and have talked just as many (members of this forum) through the install over the phone.

You won't get access to all the features but most of the popular ones are there and work just fine.

I don't think anybody wants to be the one to tell you it won't damage the tcase but I will tell you I have used it quite a bit on the drag strip to heat up the tires.

I posted this in another thread but thought it may get more traction here.

Anybody else notice that when you have the amber DRLs enabled, they cut out when the automatic wipers turn on and then cut back on once the wipers stop?

They will only cut out if you have the wipers set to turn on the headlights with it. It can be disabled through the settings through the radio.

Headlights are required with wipers in my state so I’ve not experienced this.

The hazard flashers do not work and the headings do not move when using the amber DRL.

Thanks for the reply. I appreciate it. I am only considering doing it once or twice. The place for my coil packs was gonna dyno it in 4wd and give us before and after power numbers if any but he is now telling me the ram is too big for his dyno so if it won’t hurt it i’m gonna send it and do it that way.

Isn't the work around to disable DRL through Uconnect (toggling it off) and the hazards work?

I just hooked up the Tazer this evening (thanks @Boosted!) but haven't experimented with that yet. Amber DRLs are working just fine right now.

I do not recommend using force RWD on a dyno. With the truck stationary, the front wheels are not spinning and the fwd clutches in the tcase are not getting lubed which is believed to be the reason for failures.

Drop the front driveline. It literally takes 5 minutes to do.

I didnt realize you could disengage 4wd with the Tazer.....I have been dying to rip off a big smoky burnout....

I just installed today on my 22, got the DRL's and folding Mirrors to work fine. What other features will work?
