NEW Tazer DT Updates and Guide

Anyone know if the Tazer works with a 2023? Meaning has someone already hooked one up.

This might be a dumb question but I have to go to the dealership to get my BCM software updated to fix my aux switches remembering last state. Do I have to unplug the tazer for them to update it? Not worried about the dealership seeing it, but is it physically plugged into the port that would update the BCM? Because I’m assuming the tazer manipulates the BCM for amber drl’s etc.

Add me to the list: Since the last update the truck always starts in sport mode. Tried various combos or reboot cycles & drive modes. No dice getting it to default back to ‘Auto’ on startup.

Also seems I don’t have aux switch settings displayed on Uconnect. Pretty sure I had them before. Could this be related to the Tazer?

I want to purchase the Tazer but I think it is best to hold off until corrections have been proven to be fixed.

Right now I'm only using the amber DRLs and marker lights during day+night feature. Thought I was losing my mind (or worse) when I kept picking up a flicker or something in the cabin. I finally saw it happen and the accent lights will flip off and back on sometimes after using a blinker or for no reason whatsoever. Started only after I began using the tazer finally. Is this known or fixed? Thanks

Definately don't buy it right now...it's a mess. It's the best purchase you'll make...that you'll wish you hadn't (until some type of update is figured out).

The thing is a disaster since the last update. Supposedly there's a new firmware on the way (due out by the end of 2022 they said). But here we all are. Bought and paid for with no working product. Little but frustrating at this point.
Oddly enough, I WISH mine had the issue of staying in SPORT mode...mine won't stay it any mode and just goes back to AUTO as it does when OEM.

Revert to the previous update. That's what I'm running. When you bought it you didn't check what was being said. There has been known issues with 22s since the start. Sure eventually things will be fixed and more issues will arise. That's the problem with a device like this

It's a 2022, and I bought it from you. We've talked numerous times.
I'm not sure what the new firmware status is, but I have the one that was released (as a fix to the amber DRL/turn signal issue).
Just waiting for the all-inclusive firmware that you said would be available by year-end 2022...and I last saw that you were testing before final release to the public. Not sure if that's available yet...but sounded like it would take care of everything.

The tazer is great. If you get 1, revert to an older firmware. Only thing you will not have it the security code feature.

Still testing and not ready to release.... hopefully soon but unfortunately, I am not the one that makes the call. As soon as I know more, I will make an announcement here so everyone knows ASAP.

Have you tried reinstalling the Tazer after getting the camera issue resolved?

Yeah, My main focus on getting it is for the Amber DRL lights, 2WD option, and auto folding mirrors. I guess, I would like it to stay in my custom mode on startup rather than auto

Installed mine yesterday. I did notice that 50% or more menus was only half spelled out. Had to study the install and map instructions to know exactly what I was changing/ adjusting. I assume it is because of the digital dash.. idk
All features seem to work really well. I did notice the dash not coming back up in the mode it was shut down in.

Nope. The menu on older firmwares is fucked. Wish you could edit options on pc and just plug it in.
