Start Button Kill Switch Harness

Just know this isn’t stopping anything at all and people should know all the details. Plug and play things like this are never a good idea or option. These are found in about 10 seconds everytime. It doesn’t matter where you hide your switch at, they go to the pts connection. If you want to make something that might actually work then don’t go to the easiest spot to find…
That's one opinion certainly, but I've been told by several retired police officers in NY, Canada, TX, and CA. Each of them asked something near "where was this solution 10 years ago?" And the conversation went on to state that many would be thieves have a script where they are going to relay your FOB signal, break in and create a FOB that your vehicle responds to start and drive away....and so on. A kill switch at a minimum slows down the thief and these same police officers indicated in these conversations that most would be thieves that once the "script they intend to use to steal your vehicle" doesn't work just take off. Cause it's all about get in and get out - Quick! And many these days are carrying around the equipment to do the FOB relay or adding another FOB to your vehicle to get it fast - but not all have a clue what to do when the script doesn't work. In fact the words I was told during these conversations was "most" won't have a clue what to try next.

And let's be real honest here....ANY solution is just a deterrent. If they really want ANY vehicle, they're going to bring a tow truck/flat bed and get it.

In closing, you're entitled to your opinion certainly as all others are. But dropping in on another option thread that offers another layer of deterrence and just bashing it to bash it, is really bad behavior. Not everyone has the same risk to their vehicle being stolen as others (not all living in same place), so the solution they determine to install isn't always going to be the one that is most expensive. I respect all of those who install "The IGLA Man"s solution. It's a good one, certainly. But there are all kinds of options for all risk levels, and I think people should know that truth as well.

And last item....why couldn't you use both? I have many customers who have several layers of deterrence on their vehicles. NOT just one.

Stopped reading it halfway down the bashing BS. Its not bashing when you give all the information. Claiming police ect said this just shows they have no idea whats going on. I simply told you that what you are selling doesn’t stop anything. You are selling and profiting off of something that EVERY thief knows and is useless. You do you though.

I'm all about making a better mouse trap. I've had almost a handful that have installed what I offer and already deterred a theft attempt. If you could send me some links to a source of data about "EVERY thief knowing", I'd appreciate it. That's just not what I'm finding out there but if there's data to back up that comment, I'm all for coming up with a better way for many to install a kill switch without having to have too deep of mechanical/electrical skillset to do it themselves.

It keeps the wife, kids, friends, family members and dumb thief from starting the truck that’s for sure. Haha. Is it the best theft deterrent, no, but for a $40 plug and play, and provides some peace of mind for an owner it’s worth it.

If you insist on not cutting wires, you can give this plug and play stuff a much better chance with some simple alterations:

Re-pin the factory plug and re-pin the male end of the plug and play harness to match the factory plug’s new pinout of your own creation. This way if they try to bypass the PnP harness (and your kill switch) by reconnecting the factory plug directly to the starter button…at worst it just won’t work, and at best it’ll blow the RF hub fuse, or fuck something else up and delay them further. Outcome depends on which wires you flip on them.

Also, instead of a conventional kill switch, a small wireless relay can be used which will eliminate any kill switch wires for them to simply wire back together. Also eliminates any kill switch to find at all.

In summary, the best you can do with no cut wires: re-pin connectors, use small wireless relay wired into the PnP harness, shield it with either a shit-ton of Tesa tape or some kind of conduit, and then glue said PnP harness right into the PTS switch. Unless they bring a spare PTS switch and some knowledge of how to re-wire the factory plug in the dark with time ticking away, they are leaving empty handed. Damn sure better than nothing anyway.

I'm commenting because ur a B**** to everyone in the non IGLA threads. There was no need to be negative with OP and his product especially when he's making money just like you.

All you do is promote ur product on other peoples threads and bash on other security options to increase ur installation sales. Go make a IGLA thread and hype up ur product in there 24hrs

We get it everything is stealable including IGLA so move along. You were even upset on why stellantis locked the 23 rf hub which cleary shows ur agenda
Hey, tone it down man. This name-calling business isn't acceptable.

Hey @Zeus

Thanks for reaching out! I have them available on the website with several more options, including 1 and 2 kill switch options, various lengths, kits, etc. Even custom wiring like others on this site have mentioned being a good step to take. Ready to take your order whether in USA or Canada - HERE
