Start Button Kill Switch Harness

I didn’t do that, but it may have happened when attaching the wires to the switch. Not sure. Good thing it was an easy fix when I took a moment to think about it. Fuse F24. If it happens to anyone else.
Thanks! it happened to me as well!

Can you please put me down for one in the next batch? I had a similar setup on my old truck. Had to turn on high beams to start it.

My current solution disables remote start. Does remote start still work with this?

Sorry if this has already been answered in this post.

Thanks

Remote start work just fine. You still have to disable the kill switch after remote starting to drive off.

I will message you over the weekend. I reached this week limit and have you down for next week shipment.

I want to buy a kill switch to my brotha , put me on the list !

Ok, I will take one as well
Finally got mine done today. Instead of finding a spot under the steering column, I routed it by the glove compartment -- you get another layer of security by locking it. Though not 100% secure, getting to the switch will make it a little harder or longer to access. If you don't want to keep getting your key out of the fob, you can go to Lowes or Home Depot to get it copied. Running the wires is a straight shot from the start button key area to the glove compartment. I used a pickup tool with prongs to grab the wires. Also, you can directly disconnect the wire harness and use the harness from @maestro5531 without removing the start button -- you have plenty of space if you remove the steering column cover. On a side note, the wires that came with the harness are a little short, so you will need to get a 16-gauge wire to extend it. Lastly, use a step drill bit for the switch. I hope this helps.

If I was a thief that is the first place that I would like……that’s just me

Is anyone interested in a harness to wire in a kill switch for the start button? I did not want to cut factory wiring so I made a harness with factory plugs and 2 wires that will lead to a kill switch. $25 shipped. View attachment 57316
please put me on your list to buy one.
