Start Button Kill Switch Harness

dumb question probably, but... does the start button need constant power while the vehicle is running or only power while sending function commands? So if you turned off your kill switch while the engine was running, nothing would happen except the inability to kill the engine using the start button, right?

I'm just kicking around ideas of how to wire this in and a momentary switch seems pretty intriguing.

Am a lil lost here, so how does this harness work , what exactly does this harness do and how can it prevent your truck from being stolen ?
The idea is that you hide in the back seat with this harness. When the thief jumps in, you use it as a garrote.

If you flip the switch while the truck is running all it does is disable the start button from functioning, the truck will remain running.

Can you confirm that you've done this yourself? I'm not challenging you or anything, but I've been wondering the same thing - if the kill switch cuts power to the start button, I would have thought that it would set the start button to "off" (meaning the engine would be stopped, just like hitting "off").

sure have, accidentally hitting the switch before trying to turn the truck off and briefly being confused as to why it won't turn off..

I would like one also, I'm in Canada, is that a problem?

I'll take one as well - even if this isn't my final solution, It's a good start.

I would like one also. I will need to add to help prevent from being stolen again

Can you add me to your list please, figure I better start planning now while waiting out the build process.
