Shifts And Grins Reverse Light Brackets And Diode Dynamics Lights

If it has a harness that allows me to connect the wiring without cutting or splicing wires, meaning plug and play, I’ll buy them.
It doesn't have an option to plug directly into the truck. I'll post a picture of the wiring harness tonight.

In pulling out my wiring harness I realized I had the wrong one in the kits. I fixed our order with Diode Dynamics to get the right harness. Fortunately for everyone that ordered already, you got an extra $20 off because of my mistake. I had to raise the prices of the kits by $20 to reflect the price with the correct harness. All of that being said, I don’t have the correct harness on hand yet to get you that picture.

Gonna wire these up to work both in reverse, and manually via one of the AUX switches. Should be possible with a diode on the reverse wire to prevent back feeding the factory lights. Haven’t messed with this kind of stuff in a long time but I’ll finger it out…
That’s what I did B85DF0C1-3D20-4E4F-9761-74961F2AA8C4.webp

These look pretty easy to fab up. Doesnt really need to be heavy duty. Heck, my be better just to have aluminum for flex in case it's hit? Appreciate the fab work though

They are very protected by the tow hook which is how I designed them. They follow the lines/ bends of the hook to provide that protection.

Any luck getting some photos of the harness and/or a published install guide/video? I’d love to understand what is involved in the installation before pulling the trigger.

Also curious about shadows from the tow hooks. Is that an issue?

The first batch of lights came in today. The wiring harnesses shipped today so we should be seeing those the middle of next week. I'll post a picture from the website of the harness. I am also looking for someone to custom make connectors for me to make this as plug and play as possible but that probably won't be an option until later down the road. As soon as we start shipping this first batch I will also work on the install and instructions for two customers trucks we are doing. I will likely do a video and paper/ online install instructions. The materials gathering process is moving along nicely so far so we will likely have these ready to powder coat next week. Let me know if I can be of any other assistance in the meantime.

Diode Dynamics is currently sold out on these SSC1 Pro and SSC1 Sport Flood lens with Red Back Light. We have several sets on order and some that are not sold yet, that should be here next week. We have several backordered sets as well that are looking like 3-4 weeks according to Diode Dynamics.

I found a way to make a plug and play harness for people who wish to have that option (It will be an added cost as it is going to require me buying extra connectors and building the harness). I will be ordering the connectors I need and building a few harnesses. For the plug and play options, will you all still want the option of connecting to a switch to control it manually or are you only wanting it controlled by the tail lights turning on the red back lights and reverse lights turning on the main beam?

I would like both options actually. I definitely want the ability to control the lights from one of the aux switches but depending on how bright the reverse lights are, I would like the ability if needed to both connect the lights to the taillights and reverse lights as well as control the lights from an aux switch when the need arises.

The wiring harness that is shipping with these is able to do that. I was able to come up with a way to make that harness a plug and play so you don't have to splice into the reverse light and tail light harness. You will still have to connect the power and ground but that is simple. I will make some videos and written instructions for all of the different options. If you want to use the auxiliary switches in the TRX you will have to make those connections still. I'll make instructions as soon as I have everything here to make them.

This sounds like something I am interested in. Let me know when you have the videos and instructions. I am an above average mechanic but my weakest area is electrical. If it is simple enough I will likely purchase

I would like the red backlight to come on with tail lights and get brighter with the brake lights; the white lights to come on with the reverse lights; and have the option to manually turn on the reverse light if needed.

I’d certainly be willing to pay the extra to have a fully plug and play harness.

Talk about responsive customer service! You rock!!!

I’m not sure if there is going to be a way to make the red brighter or dimmer. I’ll have to think about that. Everything else is possible and done or in the works. Thank you for the kind words!

With the new harness option I am building it will be super simple. You will unplug a connector, plug in the new harness to the male and female ends and connect a ground wire. That will give it automatic operation with tail and reverse lights. If you want manual operation as well it is just a few more connections. As soon as I do my first install I’ll film it and make paper/ online instructions as well.

How much for 2 brackets and two lights and the new harness? I looked at your website and it appears there are 2 different lights available. What is the difference in the lights?
BTW it is great to be able to chat with the guy who makes the product! It would be cool if Stellantis cared as much as you do

There is a pro and sport version, the more expensive Pro version has a higher amp draw, which means more light output per the specs.

Thank you very much. The price on the website includes two powder coated brackets, two lights and the reverse light wiring harness. That harness isn’t plug and play as it is. I have the materials I need to build out the plug and play addition coming over the next few days. Once I build that portion of the harness And test it, I’ll know what additional cost that will be. I can add that to any order and can even make one that will work with people who already have the reverse light harness. As soon as I have a price on the plug and play version I’ll post that up. As far as the two lights, the pros are brighter than the sports. For the minimal price difference I prefer the pros but the sports are nice too. Thank you again for the kind words.
