Second TRX...or 392 Wrangler??

if you dont off road, why a wrangler? why not a srt or trackhawk?
I love my Wrangler just for driving around town with the top and doors off, besides it’s great off roading capabilities. I’ve had as much fun driving it on the Dragons Tail as I did in Moab or the Rubicon and Fordyce creek trails. But it is not a great highway vehicle.

heard a rumor they stopped production on 392 XR...not sure if its true.
True, sure wasn’t many made either. The 392 XR pkg was dropped from dealer order banks within the past week along with some colors.

and after price increase stock everything is 79k. Definitely not worth it imo

I have a 20' Rubicon 2-door which I heavily modded and will absolutely be keeping her! Right now I am using the Jeep as my DD while I wait on my TRX to arrive as I do not want to put any more miles (55,000) on my 19' Longhorn 4x4. I would love a V8 Wrangler, but to me a Jeep will always be a 2-door...However if you are one of the many who like or need a 4-door Jeep, the 392 is amazing! A friend of mine has one and I have to admit it is a fun beast to drive!

Thought it would never happen...but the TRX I ordered in August has a BS!
I now have have a decision to make: Do I keep the second TRX and use it as a daily driver with some mild mods, or do I order a 392 Wrangler instead?
So...all you folks that have owned both...what are your thoughts? Is the Jeep quiet, stable, and comfortable enough to daily drive? I'm not a big off-roader.
I‘d go with backup TRX - once in a generation vehicle - get a backup if you can swing it

I dont get why people have 2 of the same types of cars. Like a mustang and camaro. Or raptor and trx. Id rather have a trx and a mustang. Or corvette and trx. I understand owning 10 vehicles but id never have 2 similar vehicles. Vw beetle and a 69 camaro and a vette and a trx. Etc etc

Uh, oh. Looks like I've done this all wrong. Apparently I shouldn't have five basically identical Mercedes, or three Jeeps, or two Chevy 1-tons, or two Challengers.

Even worse, my girlfriend has two Porsches and two Audis. And we each have a TRX, a Hellcat, and a Ram 3500.

Maybe sell one TRX and get a VW Beetle to make it more right?

This is the Wrangler I would love to have as stablemate for my TRX...Jeep Concept Trailcat, another Hellcat powered beast!

so you're saying you like cars and trucks?
I a roundabout way, yes.
And from small 2-wheelers to Class 8 stuff, and machinery of many kinds.

As an example, I really don't know how I got by without having a couple of cranes.

I have a Super Stock...which I absolutely love.
Had a TrackHawk and it makes my TRX mileage/range look phenomenal! Plus my wife has a Range Rover SUV now. It's almost impossible to find a new TrackHawk anyway.
I like the old CJ-7s, but to spend money on a new one that still steers like shit makes no sense.
The damn TRX seems to do everything great...except for parking in normal sized parking spaces!
I guess I could save more pennies and get a super car of some kind ...!!??
I had a chance to pick up a super stock the other day trading in my TRX but I passed don’t know if I did the right thing or not

Super stock or trx if you had to pick one?
Oh crap! SS is the best Challenger I ever owned (and I've tried them all!)...it actually hooks up! TRX is best truck I ever owned. That's why I have both of them ;)! If I HAD to chose one. it would be the TRX because it does it all...all the time!!

my thoughts exactly (sub red eye for SS as wasn't out in 2019)

I have both.
TRX -I like better as the daily driver. It's more stable in the corners and is quieter inside to road noise.
However, the TRX has a drinking problem depending on how much your foot weighs it's a struggle to get better than 10mpg. (not that I care) The options and luxury are better in this vehicle as well as the cabin room.
392- has great power and a dynamic exhaust which has an awesome report. It is very quick off the line, which has proved quite fun at stoplights. It has a bit of body roll in cornering but you'll get used to that quickly. We bought this Jeep as loaded as possible and it still isn't comparable to the TRX. We haven't put any aftermarket parts yet but am looking forward to equipping it.

Both vehicles make me smile every time I drive them. You wouldn't be disappointed with either but if you have the TRX you'll appreciate the differences of the Rubicon 392.
For what it's worth. Good luck

I have both also, they are both fun in different ways. I’ve had the TRX for almost a year and the Jeep for 7 months or so. The TRX is smooth, fast and a bitch to park sometimes. The 392 Wrangler is easy to whip into parking spots and the sky one touch is awesome. The 392 is also more fun at stoplights, most people think they’re any ol regular Jeep, until you drop the hammer and let it eat…ha!

The TRX is much more comfy on trips and you can actually tow with it. I’d get the 392, you won’t be disappointed.

Does 392 come with 2 batteries like all the other wranglers?
Also, does 392 have start/stop feature ( which i hate) or doesn't like the the TRX

G63?

Just kidding, but I go 392
