S&B Cold Air Intake Ram TRX

I ordered from them too. Shipped, wasnt delivered with no update as to where it is. SDHQ tells me wait for twon weeks if it isnt delivered they will file a claim wirh UPS. Bunch of BS
Sucks. Does the tracking even show that UPS got the boxes, or just no updates at all?

Thanks all for the great info. I had a S&B on my power wagon and liked it. My son just put one on his rebel as well. About to order and wait!

I wish they could ship it to California! I might have to think of a friend I can ship it to out of state.
Yep, I had them ship it up North and then I paid to have it shipped to the Bay Area.
Their made in Southern California and I thought I heard it fly over head lol..

This is interesting since my dealer said if you put it on it voids your warranty.
The S&B intake alone will not void your warranty. Now, if you tune it. It will only void the engine portion. They still have to cover your electronic components inside the truck.

Anyone have these in stock?

Let’s see what K&N comes up with, from what I was told and from the design I saw, it might be the best intake to hit the market.

That would be a first but I certain welcome the competition!

Unless the truck gets tuned I doubt it will make any kind of power regardless of what any of the companies claim lol! All they’re going to do is make the supercharger whine sound better IMO.

What I liked best about the K&N design that I saw is that it keeps all the stock plastics in place unlike the AFE and S&B where you have to leave some out or swap them out.

Not bashing any of the companies, but I prefer to keep it looking as OEM as possible since the stock intake system looks very well engineered to begin with. Only thing I will bash them on is they all need to grow a pair and continue to ship to customers in CA since they’re all based here 🤣

That’s actually not true from a data and physics standpoint though for the PD style blower.

Any reduction in airflow restriction on the inlet side of the blower improves the VE of the blower and results in higher CFM which users can see as higher boost. That data is already available. AFE and S&B owners are seeing 1-1.5 PSI more boost than stock.

While tuning will help, the stock TRX airflow and timing maps can easily cover the small amount of additional airflow provided so they are “tuned” for the gain already. Probably still pretty damn rich (the stock tune is) but the computer does compensate for the increased airflow in the same way it compensates going from sea level to Denver.

The stock plastics are what it holding back the airflow. Again this is why people are seeing the boost jump and even jump from using the AFE super stock setup which just replaces the elbow and filter to the full intake setup. A large part of the intake flow into the filter comes through grill and the lower inlet into the filter box that you can’t see without removing the plastics (it doesn’t just breathe through the hood scoop) which is why the redesign of this area is needed to actually increase CFM into the blower.
