I get the strange feeling FCA fired all of the quality control workforce when they merged into Stelantis or whatever they call themselves this year. Way too many issues.

I will tomorrow. Didn't notice it until I got home. Almost like it was welded too low. Also, there's a rubber piece that I guess allows it to have some give.. maybe the one side has some more play or something

I have a question (without having read through the entire thread) cause I'm trying to figure out what's normal and what isn't, and I don't have access to other trucks to compare mine to and I haven't had a vehicle with a hc engine before.

I don't have the dreaded chirping noise at idle that others are reporting, but under normal driving in auto I do hear a kind of rattling noise coming from the drivetrain. It sounds like what you'd hear if one used low octane gas (but I know it's 93 in there), but seems to be coming more from under or the rear of the truck. It's not loud but it's there whenever I step on the throttle. It's mildly annoying but I'd believe it if someone were to tell me it's just how this truck is. It might even be something that doesn't register with most people. For example if the sound system is on even at super low volume I can't hear it, and in sport mode the whine hides it.

So, does everyone have that or is my truck being weird?

I don’t have any experience with the hellcat engines and I don’t have my TRX just yet, but I have witnessed at the dealership and other people who own the hellcat engine there does seem to be a similar mild ticking noise that appears to be common. I have no idea to know if this is normal or acceptable or of any concern to be completely honest.

I pick up my truck hopefully early to mid next week and will be looking at it very thoroughly. I will be sure and post the results of the vehicle inspection.

Thought I would start a thread to consolidate everyone who has issues with their new TRX. Will make it easier to search for new issues and make updates as we address them.

Here is what I have so far:
- High pitch squeal in engine area (@Crazyotter) THREAD

- Axle boot leaking (@RR305) THREAD
- Center damper missing bolt (@Distilled DesignWorks) THREAD

Let me now what I'm missing and I'll keep the top post updated as we go.

I like that idea and also have one of the categories be "no issues" so we have an idea of how wide spread issues are.

Cilantro (FCA): Please look at the above example of Customer Service. It really doesn't help Knightmare with exception it helps him know that his order is in process. Maybe you could provide just a little bit of information to us. Maybe you can start by telling us why the Purgatory Parking Lot exists and is growing.

It looks like the TRX is using a different exhaust manifold, and obviously different exhaust. I'll bet the noise were hearing had something to do with the cats warming up if it's not a leak. Check out these vents or grids on the exhaust, did anyone catch the engineers talking about what they were for?

Not saying this is what it is, but the American Racing LT headers I had prior had a similar noise. My non-technical assumption is the air flow was seeing it's first bit of resistance in the collection chamber further away from the motor. Others had the same experience, so I chalked it up to a feature of more air flow. It wasn't a leak and never caused a code.
