If you are spending $85k on a 702 HP truck and you want to avoid $1000s in fines and legal fees as a result of driving it like a 702 HP truck I would invest in an AL Priority System. It is a hard wired system that for 3 "parking sensors" that also conviently work as laser jammers but don't tell anyone that and a state of the art radar detection antenna and control box will run you around $1800.

The benifit of going with AL Priority is they are constantly updating their software as new radar and laser detection devices come out and it updates over wifi with your phone so you don't have to rip apart your dash every time there is an update like with other competitors

They also have been doing this since 1987 successfully and all of their products are tested and warrantied and backed, I have moved my system into 4 different vehicles since I bought it in 2010 and it still works amazing.

Their website is alpriorityusa.com you can get all the info you want or need on there and if you search around on the internet and youtube you wont find anyone that has anything bad to say about it other than it is on the expensive side.
I ran ALP system in conjunction with an Escort Radar for the last two years in my Shelby F150. It has saved my ass countless times. It's worth the money if you have it. 3 little sensors in the grill.

I didn't bother taking out the system out of my old truck and getting a new grill without holes, so I ordered a new ALP for my TRX....Because I haven't gotten it installed yet is the only reason I've been able to abide by the break in period suggestions so far...

Correct the way the cops laser gun works is they sight you in and hold a button on a large flat surface of your vehicle until it comes back with a reading, if it takes them more than a few seconds to get a reading they know something is up they are not idiots and know jammer technology exists and will likely pull you over anyway if you drive completely by them and they never get a reading on you.

So through the app you can customize how long the system jams for after it detects the initial laser, my recomendation would be set it to no more than 4 seconds (when you hear the alarms you are being radared your reaction times increase and time slows to a crawl so 4 seconds seems like an eternity in the moment) but what I do is have the automatic kill set to 3 or 4 seconds as a safe gaurd but i reach up and hit the manual kill switch as soon as I hear the warning and get slowed down which depending on my speed is usually only around a second or 2 tops

hope this helps and have fun but be safe with it if you end up getting one and installing it
Would you happen to have a picture where your front radar antenna is mounted.? I am struggling where to mount mine. The shifters are easy, but the antenna is just so big and nothing to mount to.

Thanks
Mark

I have an older Valentine 1 that I have been happy with for years. I have been planning on getting their latest version for this truck.
You can actually check your SN on their website and it may be eligible for the updated firmware that drastically affects the amount of nuisance alarms, especially from the GM vehicles with rear parking sensors. My wife sent hers in, and wow night and day difference in performance

Long time fan of Mike Valentine, starting with the 'old' Escorts, then Valentine One and now Valentine One Gen2. If you want additional protection, use the JBV1 app (only available for Android) for the V1G2, which includes a crowd sourced 'heat map' of traffic enforcement activity. Waze has been a huge help but obviously less useful at night and light traffic.

After reading about the AL Priority, its going in next.

I've got an ALP unit if anyone wants it. I used 2 sensors, control box, and pad on my old car. Still have new sensors in the box. I'd let it go for half of what you find on the web

Just curious... as I know that everyone purchasing this beast will probably obey all speed limits... any recommendations concerning Radar Detectors.. As I haven’t had the need for at least 20 yrs.. would welcome any info. Thanks
I ordered a valentine one gen 2. Haven’t installed yet. Will do once I get my truck hopefully by end of year.
