Just curious... as I know that everyone purchasing this beast will probably obey all speed limits... any recommendations concerning Radar Detectors.. As I haven’t had the need for at least 20 yrs.. would welcome any info. Thanks

I have the MAX360C with the M1 dash cam. Filters all the BS signals out.

Maybe we can speak to them as being a dealer or get group buy price. I will take a look after working something out with Truck Hero for our forum.

Thanks again!

Laser shifters/jammers (like the Anti-Laser Priority or ALP) if they are legal in your state plus your favorite radar detector (I use Escort).

Saved me too many times to count.

Currently running Escort in all vehicles. I use the Max 3 in my 911's and have an iXc in my truck. They have been the best I've used. Escort IMO does the best job of filtering. Can't go wrong with them!

Do a dive into Radenso Theia. Still suppose to be out by end of 2020 and sure to be a game changer. Be ready to spend a few hours going down the rabbit hole.

I am old enough to have had one of these....LOL

this is interesting. I’ve never had a radar detector before. I’m gonna guess I’ll want one in this truck. Thanks for the heads up. Signed up for updates

Valentine 1. Hands down. It's been around forever and proven. I use one in my 2003 Cobra that puts down 650 WHP (actually selling it for my TRX) and it picks up radar well over a mile away. It's not cheap but it's well worth it.

If you are spending $85k on a 702 HP truck and you want to avoid $1000s in fines and legal fees as a result of driving it like a 702 HP truck I would invest in an AL Priority System. It is a hard wired system that for 3 "parking sensors" that also conviently work as laser jammers but don't tell anyone that and a state of the art radar detection antenna and control box will run you around $1800.

The benifit of going with AL Priority is they are constantly updating their software as new radar and laser detection devices come out and it updates over wifi with your phone so you don't have to rip apart your dash every time there is an update like with other competitors

They also have been doing this since 1987 successfully and all of their products are tested and warrantied and backed, I have moved my system into 4 different vehicles since I bought it in 2010 and it still works amazing.

Their website is alpriorityusa.com you can get all the info you want or need on there and if you search around on the internet and youtube you wont find anyone that has anything bad to say about it other than it is on the expensive side.

I've never heard of this. It sounds amazing.

I checked out their website and youtube vids on the Theia and it looks like your are right.... should be amazing. I think I’ll wait and see if it gets released at the same time I get the TRX.

Be careful with companies that offer a "Ticket Free Guarantee" as a way to give you a warm fuzzy feeling when selling you just a radar detector and not a lidar (laser) jammer. Most of the time the fine print in the guarantee states something along the lines of

"only speeding tickets that are the lesser of 30% or 10 mph over the posted speed limit are covered"

and

"tickets in work/constructions zones school zones and residential neighborhoods are not covered"

Which poses 2 problems for you first most people have heard of the 9 you're fine 10 you're mine adage when dealing with traffic cops (excluding school and work zones that aren't covered anyway) where they won't bother pulling people over who are only moderatly speeding because it is more worth their time to wait it out a few minutes longer to get someone excessivly speeding and spend the same amount of time and effort writing a ticket but for 3 to 10 times the cost of the slower ticket. The radar detector companies know this and are willing to pay a few tickets from asshole cops who do write a $40 ticket for going 7 mph over in order to sell more $400 units to people who don't read the fine print on their guarantee and get stuck with a massive fine they thought they werent going to have to pay for going 25 mph over the speed limit

And second virtually all speed traps that are set up with stationary cops on the side of the road use lidar (laser) not radar, which is a focused beam that only hits the car they are pointing their gun at so if you get a warning from your detector that a cop just used a laser it is too late to slow down because he already measured your speed which brings me back to my first point if you are going more than 30% or 10 mph over the speed limit they aren't going to pay your ticket anyway.

Which is why I recomend dont waste your money on an expensive radar detector if you want one get the cheapest one you can find they are all virtually the same and it might save you from coming up quick from behind a cop car that is driving the same direction as you with his radar on but they are useless against stationary speed traps. Or save your money and invest in a laser jammer with a radar detector attachment that is hardwired into your car like the AL Priority system from alpriorityusa.com that i talked about in depth in the post above that gives you an adjustable amount of time from 1 to 10 seconds to slow down after you hear the laser alert before it lets the cop get a reading on your speed (it is capeable of jamming the signal forever but you don't want to do this as it will cause the cop to know you are using the equipment and pull you over and hassle you anyway)

Hope this helps

I priced one out on their website at $3300 with all the options.... Wow
