Any insights on why Koons can't process TRX orders to California and other dealers can?. Is it by choice?

We purchased our motorhome in Arizona. Had to sign papers as soon as we crossed the border into California. Technically, I wasn't even supposed to be driving. Someone from the dealership had to accompany us. I'm guessing something in this process is the reason. Thankfully, I'll be in Florida by the time my truck is ready.

I sent over the information today as requested with PDF attached. The response I got seems like the response I would get from a Nigerian Prince email or a scammer in general. Here is some of the information copied from the email, I can copy the whole email if you want.

"Now again, the 6% under invoice is for retail/finance only and is not available for leasing. Now the 6% under invoice does require financing through Chrysler Capital or lose 1000. So all you need to do is make 3 payments with Chrysler at which after the 3 payments you can either pay it off or refinance elsewhere if needed ."

This is fine and not abnormal, but not what was advertised in your original post. If we do have to finance through Chrysler Capital or lose $1000 that is fine, but you should state that up front.

Anyway, the email I got in response to my request or quote/build was just strange. The person repeated themselves over and over with the same information and at first they made it seem like I didn't know what I was looking for or what I was trying to do.

They also didn't have a signature, so not sure who I was emailing with. ??

He stopped .. if he sells more than 6 he needs a dealer license. And you need about 6 to get the 7th free. He got most of them if not all base

3500 HD, but don't think it matters 2500 or 3500. Again, not a huge deal, I am ok with it, just didn't know up front. Craig is who I am working with now. There must be some dealer cash or kickback from Chrysler Financial to the dealer.

I didn’t have any leasing requirements either. Since mine is a Level I (with some add-ons), 10k off MSRP was the better of it versus 11% off MSRP.

Rye NH here - about to order a TRX too - had the paperwork from Sunday - Order does not state that you must finance although the email stated you did. Secondly, I asked how much you need to finance - eg - $20K, $25K - 50% etc and they couldn't tell me that.

I was responding to @Tell3131 post who is buying a 3500hd. The finance requirement isn’t for TRX. It’s for 3500.

Nowhere in my agreement does it say I must finance through Chrysler capital or pay $1k more, so that doesn’t apply to me. Also doesn’t have a minimum financed or anything else like that.

I could pay cash if I was ballin like some of the others on this forum!

Ordered on 2/15. Got my VIN on 2/18 via RamChat.

I’m in Status D (gathering parts).

Craig told me it’s about 6-8 weeks from the time the order goes into production, so I don’t think I’m there yet. I think I at least have to be in D1 status to start that clock.

LOL - I have a Rubicon XR Unlimited on order with another dealer, and have been in D status for months now - Ordered on 10/26. Other Jeep Orders after me have been getting built - must be the deal !!

You’re one of the unlucky ones I guess. Me, I’ll wait as long as it takes if it gets me a TRX for 9100 off sticker. And I’m not selling my Raptor until I get closer to delivery date.
