No more Ramboxes..Looking for storage ideas

I have been looking for a picture like this. Thanks!

Does the divider come together with the rails or are they separate parts? It looks like the divider rails block the tie down hooks on the factory BUG system?

Side note....How do you like the factory tonneau cover? AND if you like it do you know the part number? Otherwise I'm leaning towards the Backflip or Retrax
I have had the trifold on my last 3 RAMs and it works well enough and is easy to install and remove.

The rail does limit the adjustment and access to the tie downs somewhat though they are still usable. Is it as elegant and flexible as the RAMBox system divider? NO, however it does keep things from sliding around and does a decent job.

Overall I am satisfied with the solution and it meets my needs, your mileage may vary.

anyone install a weather guard or UWS saddle toolbox in the back yet? I had a UWS low-profile in my old truck but looked on line and UWS says everything is out of stock.

Mopar doesnt make one that works with existing factory side rails in the bed? really?

There was some catch with this one, its made by some other company and mopar sells it.

Thanks for the pictures

is that the deepest they can go into the fender? Or can you mount them deeper into the fender if you take out the rail system? Would be great if you can align them with the inner wheel well.
The company that makes it (Roll-N-Lock) for Mopar also sells as their own product. I am thinking its a generic product that will fit any 5.7 bed, the only difference is the bed rails mount. That may be why it does not fit snuggly to fender wells.

So with RAM boxes there is no wheel wells in box, so its a straight square, but I am pretty sure you have to get into bed to move an adjust it and it only adjusts to where the slots are.

On the regular RAM bed, it has to slide past wheel wells.

But you can adjust from side of truck bed to any length of truck bed and even lock in the up position to slid big boxes under it, without taking it out. But there is no height adjustment.

Yeah I was actually taking about the swing out boxes that someone posted pics of further back. That looks like you could move the swing cases mor insisde the fender If you remove the cargo rail behind it

No, you couldn't. The lateral location of the case is dictated by the position of the hinge, which you can see is mounted right up against the bed side, immediately behind the tailgate. There may well be more room between the case and the side wall of the bed, but without cutting the mounting bracket and re-welding it, you're not going to be able to "push" the case outboard any more.

Just an FYI

On my previous 2004 Dodge 2500 Quad Cab and now on my 2016 Ram 1500 Crew I have installed Fold-A-Covers. Both were 4 panel folding with the front panel folding for near cab access. Both were easy non-drill installs and served to mostly rainproof the bed.
They fold up towards the front and leave 75% of the bed open and were easy to remove with 4 bolts to let me haul a motorcycle or ATV.

I noticed the newer G4 Elite cover has improved latching / locking features and can now accommodate a drop in tool bin just behind the cab portion of the cover. Based on my past experience with these products I'll probably purchase another if I step up to a new TRX.

Yup you are correct. I wish it would be further in to take up less room.

Has anyone tried these boxes from SwingCase? Looked at them before but never pulled the trigger.

That’s pretty cool. Thanks for sharing

I have the same issue. My last 3 trucks all had Ramboxes it’s going to be tough not having them. have you seen the factory cargo divider that goes in the bed rails? I have that on order.
There is also a larger under the back seat storage tray I found. I’m not 100% sold on that though as it appears to take up a lot of room. I also have a thought for a sliding box that will go above the wheel wells and mount in those bed tracks but I really need the truck first to work on the design.
I’ve got something similar to the underwear storage in my AT4. I absolutely love it.

I seen these on Amazon this AM. Was wondering if they would fit.

Thanks for the pics.

I've pretty much decided to go with one of these diamondback covers and not mess around with all the other cheap crap on the market. It looks like there are some great accessories to add on as well. Anyone have one yet?
