New Features, Tech and More! 2023 Ram 1500, HD Trucks Changes

Just took a look at spy photos: if they do it release, I’m curious if I made a mistake ordering them. (Not positive I love the look)
You have a link to photos?

Has anyone else noticed on the 2023 1500 Feature Availability doc they list the 360 degree camera as part of the TRX level 1 group? But I don't see any mention of that on the 2023 order guide... Probably a F up I'm guessing. But curious if anyone else saw this.

I saw some photos the other day that were not spy photos and they looked a lot better for some reason.

My understanding is that RAM updates the ordering guide monthly so maybe this change will be reflected in updated ordering guides.

I actually like the way the digital dash cluster looks. I'm not going to be trading my 22 in and ordering a 23, but it looks better than I imagined.

I have one on my Audi, and if it's cool, but redundant. Sort of like the HUD, it's cool but one can live with out it. I'd rather have massaging seats...

where can I confirm if the digital gauge cluster will be standard or need to be upgraded for the 2023s
I just saw the new digital cluster on the 2023 RAM TRX page. Ugh, I'm in D1 for a '22 and this almost makes me want to wait for the '23 instead. Is it worth waiting another 6-8mo just for the digital cluster?

Anyone going to the Detroit Auto Show? Looks like they have a lineup of the ‘23 Rams.

So I did some digging last night to see how the grand wagoneer dash looks, looks just like the trx dash shown in the pictures, minus the trx drop in the center. While looking on the internet, I found the dealer sells the grand wagoneer cluster for 680, and 860ish dollars. That good news for those that want to upgrade our instrument cluster. Once the part is released, it shouldn't be crazy expensive to switch Them out. I will reach out to Tyler Potter, and see if he can get part numbers, and a install video.
The problem is, you can’t actually buy a brand new instrument cluster from a mopar parts supplier. The part will be available, and it’ll allow you to make the purchase, but a few days later the order will get kicked. You basically have to wait until trucks with them start getting wrecked, which is what infotainment does.
As far as retrofitting the digital cluster, I don’t see why it wouldn’t work, since the regular clusters are still being used on the 2023’s. Functionally speaking, swapping clusters has always been a direct plug n play swap. There’s no programming needed to actually make it function correctly. It’s the mileage correction that needs programming, and AlfaOBD can do that.

Not a fan of digital clusters, has it been confirmed if they are on all models or an 'upgrade'. i.e. can 2023 models be ordered with the non-digital cluster?

For all the ‘23 people that don’t want a digital cluster, I’m sure there is someone with a ‘we or ‘22 that will happily trade…

Everyone saying they don't want a digital cluster...have you actually used a digital cluster before? The one on my F150 is great and superior to any analog cluster I've ever seen.

I will trade... on a side note, I went to the dealer to order a new cluster, was 1200 dollars, problem is that they need a core and our 22s aren't the same. I told him it don't matter, I will pay the core charge. He is going to email ram and see what they can find out. There isn't any clusters out there cause they haven't started building the 23s for customers.

I just placed another order for a 2023 TRX and they confirmed that the new standard features are
  • 12" Digital Gauge Dash Cluster
  • Towing light on the tailgate.
  • New UConnect 5 Emergency sensors

The tailgate light came in the 2022’s. Unless this is some newer version of the tailgate light.

Yes... do not want.

Seeing as I’m still waiting for my 22, I’m tempted to order a 23 just because I’ve waited this long and it’s the first “new” vehicle I am buying since like 2010. In my mind if I get my 2022 in 2023 I’ll feel some kind of way. I’m pretty sure my dealer will let me order without a deposit, if that’s the case I’ll order a 23 tomorrow. I like the gauge cluster.
Who did you order from?

I've seen it in the G Wagoneer and I prefer the mixed analog/digital cluster but it's not a deal breaker. If (hypothetically lol) my 22 order were unable to be built and I had to receive a 23 I wouldn't turn it down, I just like the looks and familiar function of the traditional cluster better.

It's so annoying how I have to add stupid EQ level for advanced safety option...wish they would just let us build it without all these unwanted things :cautious:
