New Features, Tech and More! 2023 Ram 1500, HD Trucks Changes

@Eighty posted a chart of 2023 build sheets showing all RAM 1500 trims except Bighorn and Tradesman have been getting the new dash.

And to answer the specific question on TRX's: There are 23 TRX build sheets, all of which have the 12in gauge cluster.
21 of them are Level 2
2 of them are Level 1
No base models

I never understood why everyone talked about actually wanting to avoid getting a digital dash. I love how Ford implemented it on 21+ F150s. It looks like Ram has also done a great job too. The variety of info screens you can get are just great.

I guess everybody thought that they wouldn't have a tachometer or a speedometer anymore???

I am sooo glad I waited and ordered a 23'. I have been holding out for that bacteria killing UV light in the glove box! YESSS!!! Now it is truly killer! :ROFLMAO: JK
I do really like the new digital cluster. (y) Can't wait to get mine!

I can see the headlines now.. "Introducing the new 2023 RAM TRX - Killing Raptors and Bacteria at the same time"

I have no issues with the analog gauge cluster - it looked pretty good. But this new digital dash seems to better compliment the upscale interior on the TRX. Looks to be very well executed, imo.

Yeah, I've been wondering what that's actually for. Disinfecting hands? Or is it to purify the air?

Either way, it seems an odd thing to add. At the height of the Covid scare, it probably sounded like a slam dunk for sales.
I guess mostly used as counterfeit bill detector

Have you been in a Wagoneer yet? It's the same, it's decent but I prefer the analog speedo/tach. If... IF... they bring the night vision though it would be well worth it.

I’ve only sat in a Wagoneer; I’ll have to check out some videos. The night vision would definitely be neat, but I have a feeling it won’t be added until the next MY.

Got a chance to check out some videos. It looks like the Wagoneer uses a smaller 10.25" digital cluster, whereas the '23 TRX will use the 12.3" digital cluster that's featured in the Grand Wagoneer. From the videos comparing the two, it seemed the clarity and quality was much sharper in the 12.3" unit, so I'm pretty happy about that. I could definitely see night vision being offered at some point (possibly right off the bat).

Good to know, I didn't realize the 2 Jeeps had different sized clusters. I only briefly looked at/test drove a Wagoneer Series III before we bought the 392.

Here’s some more photos of the digital cluster from the Ram website.
Does the TRX displayed in the digital dash have a black skid plate? That would be a nice update for the ‘23s.

My wife's car has the 3d digital display, and I think it's pretty neat. On left blinker the speedo drops out and the side view camera pulls up. Right blinker the tach drops out and side camera. Pretty cool tech we're getting these days. I know it's not a trx, but the possibilities are pretty endless.

No, same skid plate. You can see official ‘23 images here:

Will it be possible to swap our gauges? i just got my 2022 and im obssessed with tech and digital gauges in general so im wondering if that process will be easy (plug and play) since from all the pics, the dash area looks identical. i really hope theyre swappable

there's this company called "infotainment" they can upgrade clusters, for example if you own a ram with the tiny 4 inch gauges you can upgrade to the 8 inch ones, they take your chassis number and mileage and program it to your vehicle for a plug and play installation, I hope the same thing works for the new 12 inch clusters.

Here’s an article about the 2023 changes. Interestingly, there are two pieces of information that are different from my current understanding.
First, it only mentions the UV light with the Limited Red edition.
Second, it says the digital gauge cluster is standard on all trims from Bighorn up. Odd, given that they haven’t built any test Bighorns with it.

I reached out to Chris at infotainment, he's saying about a year before they will start to offer the cluster upgrades, no price yet, I did tell them to put me at the top of the list , just in case I can't get top dollar out of my 22 trx
