Will your Trx order get canceled if you place 2 orders with 2 different dealers?

VikTrx placed like 18 or something silly and got them all... but STLA says you can only order 5 in a year before they will cancel or not take your order.

Just curious because I want to order 1 more just incase one gets canceled or just doesn’t show up for whatever reason but nervous to do that and they both get canceled then have to start all over with this price increase

It's taken me a lifetime to get to the point where I could afford one, and even then I felt half insane to spend so much. I can't imagine being able to entertain the thought "should I just get two"...

I’m not saying buy 2 but order 2 just incase 1 doesn’t show up for whatever reason

Several forum members did this with 22 orders. The end result is both were delivered, one the member would buy, the second would go to the dealer to be sold for MSRP or with an ADM. Those of us waiting had to deal with members turning away their second order while ours were stuck in the queue somewhere.

Dealers, so I've heard, don't like canceled orders. I guess Stellantis views it as a way to get dealer stock of a TRX, which is frowned upon.

Do dealers really not like making an extra $20-25K in revenue?

Oh, they love that part of it...it's the home office that looks down on the practice.

My theory is dealers on here offer $10k off MSRP because they know X% of the orders will cancel, and they get allocated inventory they would otherwise have not received which equals more profit.

They're still making money on the volume as well. If there wasn't money in it, they wouldn't be doing it. Plain and simple.

There are many ways a dealer makes money from a vehicle sale... outside they paid $xx.xx for the truck and sold it for $xx.xx. A dealer can show a "loss" on a sale (in the eyes of the customer anyway) and still be able to count their $$$ at the end of the day.

Elaborate. I'm trying to learn sometimes today lol

For sure. But the margins are much slimmer.
