I have the $300 one from the streamtomycar website. It’s android 9 based. A little buggy but works. Have had it reboot a couple of times but beyond that it does what it claims. Apple CarPlay works wirelessly via this unit. I’ve also tried YouTube with no issues. On XDA developers there are custom roms available which I assume will improve performance and features. Haven’t tried the custom roms yet but will in a few weeks. Chrome cast and apple cast are both supported.

I mean no disrespect but the media box you have is poor specs in comparison. For the same price, I bought one with an 8 core Qualcomm processor, 2 SD card slots, a SIM slot to have it’s own internet and make calls and it does so with ease. Apps load rapidly like on a smart phone and it has been flawless operation. I would go this route.

I also have on order a car dongle which is a crowdsourced startup to see how it compares in a tiny package.

Does the ESPN App work for anyone on their MMB box? Netflix, Prime Video and others work fine, but I CANNOT get the ESPN app to work so I can watch games. I get an error like "device has been disconnected" but the device is connected and other apps work fine.

Because it requires additional hardware. Like a taser that handles the video in motion. And tazer is like 329. Plus the cost of fire tv plus about 50 more bucks in parts.
So just under 500 and these mmb boxes or the better android 9.0 box are like 300 or so and plug and play. But they are super slow. The google play store doesn’t really know what it is so you would have to side load things like Hulu. And even then it’s hit or miss what works. I own one of the better versions. So this isn’t hearsay. Netflix is one of the only things those boxes are good for m.

So all I need to do is buy a tazer and a cheap fire stick and I’m off to the races?!?

I personally would get the media box I recommended. I’ve been using it for two months and it has no performance issues. It uses a Qualcomm processor found in smart phones. It’s quite powerful.

I would be careful with these mbb boxes from . Buddy who is in tech says some have malware. I wouldn't use any of your legit accounts just burners. Most ppl use their Hotspot from there phone not sure if that would be an issue aswell
