Mopar Extended Warranty

I'll give them a call tomorrow, see what they say. (y)
Don't call them. Read their thread on it, and email the address they provide in that post.

Here:

I got the Max Care 8 year 125,000 factory warranty directly from the dealer for $4,975.00 and for me it’s worth every penny even if I don’t use it. There are so many really technical and really complex stuff on these trucks that it wouldn’t take much to just crush you with a repair.

I purchased this through the dealership so that way in the event I have a claim it’s already in the system I don’t have to haggle to the point where I get pissed about getting something fixed. This just gives me a high level of peace of mind to buy it anywhere else.

Anyway that’s my two cents, recommend that over PPF that’s for
sure!

No, you bought the 8yr/100K warranty with a $200 deductible, and you got it for around $100 over cost - which is good.

I don't want people getting confused, because the extra 25,000 in mileage adds about $2K to the warranty cost.

Bingo, $20 more than Granger for a 8/100/200 but it's still a good deal.

Where are these posted REAL $100 $200 over dealer cost Maximum Care Plans at? Anybody selling them with proof of 1-200 over dealer cost ?

See this thread:

Not sure what you consider "proof" - but you can always take the quotes from there, and compare to other websites offering the same plan (VERY important you compare like for like), like:

In the end, I believe you'll find the lowest pricing is currently offered by Granger Motors. And that's the number that really matters - what you can actually purchase it for, not what the manufacturer is charging the dealer.

Just purchased the 96 month 85k from Granger for $3575 . Curious Why the 85k is $300 cheaper than the 75k. Same on several sites. What am i missing? Promo going on?

Was that added care or max care

Looking for details on extended warranty.

My trucks engine blew at 12k miles on it. They have repaired it and I have it back. I am being offered 1k with a 6 year 100k maxcare warranty or 6000 cash. What is the cost of this warranty now a days. I saw some old posts for 2k and 1600. Are those prices still available?

No, those prices are long gone. Currently, Granger offers the best pricing on MaxCare warranties, but the #'s from Zeigler are in the ballpark (and readily available online). I'm looking at http://chryslerfactoryplans.com

The 6yr/100K MaxCare plans run around $3985 for a $200 deductible, $4675 for a $100 deductible, or $6940 for a $0 deductible. Granger tends to come in a little less than that.

So it depends on what deductible they're offering you - but unless they're offering the $0 deductible plan, you're better off taking the cash, and purchasing your own warranty through Granger - see this thread for details on that:

The prices I was quoted today are WAY above the ones mentioned above. Is there a group discount I should ask for? This is for a ‘22 with 10k miles on it. Example:

Based on the pricing, RAM is certain stuff is gonna fall apart after 60k miles. Look at the pricing differential between 60k and 75k.

Quoted from whom? Did you follow the instructions in the referenced post from Granger Motors?

"Please send an email to [email protected] with the following information:

Name
Address
Phone number
VIN
Approximate mileage on Ram TRX now
Coverage desired (years and mileage)"

In your first example, Zeigler offers the WMT7100N plan for $5,015 on their website (after discount), so I would expect Granger to come back with a sub-5K price quote.

Well the powertrain warranty is 5y/60k so the MaxCare contract is only covering everything else between 3y/36 and 5y/60k. After 5y/60k it has to cover everything.

I did exactly that. Why do you ask?

I just picked up my truck last week from Granger. I told them Zeigler was cheaper for same coverage. They said that happens every once in a while as prices are constantly changing. They were happy to match the lower price.
