Koons Help

Where does your window sticker say that the rear door panel has ambient lighting in the middle of the panel? My window sticker doesn't say that.

Howdy TRX Peeps!

Does anyone know a higher-up at Koons?

I have been having a bad experience trying to get missing packages/parts from my TRX order refunded.

Placed the order for my vehicle on October 22 2021 and received the confirmation of doing so as well as the price of the vehicle.
8 months pass by and I finally can pick the vehicle up. When picking up the vehicle I noticed some scratches as well as a miss-aligned finder that they said would be no problem fixing but I live out of state so take it to my nearest dealer. They wrote a "we owe you" statement in case the scratches couldn't come out. I got home I noticed some of the things I ordered on the vehicle were missing. I contacted my salesman and a manager that was helping me and they apologized. They asked me how I wanted to proceed either getting them ordered and installed or refunded. I chose refunded because if it wasn't done at the factory I don't want a dealer to install it. They agreed and said they will let me know when I would receive the refund. A few days have passed and I get a call from RAM Customer Care asking if I had any issues. I explained to them the issue and they said they would be in contact with the dealer. A week had passed I heard nothing from the dealer. I get a random email saying my parts are ready to pick up. I contact the manager and she states I can schedule to have them installed. I explained we already agreed on getting them refunded and I made other plans based on that. Also, I do not live in your state. She said I'm doing my best what do you want from me. I was confused because I had messages stating a refund. She said she would get back to me. 2 more weeks passed and nothing. When I try to call she ignores me and will not give me answers. I contract RAM customer care and they said they have left multiple messages with her and she refuses to respond.
I am finding more things missing from my vehicle and I am unable to get the manager to acknowledge me anymore. I keep getting the run around with no end.
. . .was the blinker fluid reservoir full? :)

Seriously, I feel your pain bro....your experience is the ONLY reason I will never buy outside of my immediate area and one of the reason's I'm so damn OCD when it comes to things in general.

Hopefully you will get your issues rectified ASAP - if not, contact an attorney.

I can save you some time on that- I'm an attorney. The only obligation that RAM has is to install the missing parts. You have around $1,200 in missing parts. It will cost you more than that to hire an attorney. They have already taken steps to make it right. IF they decide not to (which is a huge assumption since they already got your parts in), take them to small claims court. Anything under $12,000 in PA qualifies for small claims.

But why is anyone even talking about suing them when they have literally called and said that the parts are in and the customer needs to make an appointment have them installed? I suggest making that appointment to have them install what was left off, and then enjoying the truck.

. . .because it seems he’s getting the run-around and the fact that his POC’s aren’t even returning or replying to him. In my experience, a letter from an attorney is usually all it takes to get people to do the right thing.

We are only hearing one side of the story. They have the parts available. I'm still in shock you didn't catch it before driving off the lot. Koons is doing a hell of a job hooking people up with great deals. I'm sure it lawsuits start flying for unnecessary reasons that may end.

It says rear interior light

I already purchased different parts to use instead because I was told it was being refunded. It closer to 2k in parts because of what they charged me for them. Yes it is inflated for when you but them but I still bought it for that amount thus I should be refunded for that amount

Most attorneys that I know will not just write a letter without a consultation fee and an additional retainer fee for more work after the letter. The actual experience of attorneys is that a letter just leads to a response back from their attorney and more work.

You bought a different bed step and hood decal?

I think rather I caught before or not it would have been the same outcome. The manager who had to deal with it was not in. I told my salesman the same day. They already agreed on refunding them and RAM care already told them to do so. I get they are giving great deals but that doesn't excuse being ignored and getting the runaround.

I am so confused why everyone seems like it's my fault I didn't receive them on my vehicle. I am not blaming them either I am just going off the fact RAM care stated that they informed Koons they were missing and didn't charge them for it. So I have to go through Koons for the refund.

Also I asked the form when I found out they were missing and it was a concensus to get them refunded and not have the dealership put them on.

How much were you charged for the custom decal? There are several vendors on here that do custom hood decals for under $300, and it costs about $100 to have one of those professionally installed. Many people on here skip the factory decal because the custom ones are so much cheaper.

What did you buy to replace the bed step and how much was it?

Here's the solution, have them ship you the missing parts and sell them.

Does it matter how much I paid for the replacement?
I paid for it on my purchase order and didn't get it period.

I will get much less then what I paid for them

Yep but that's the price you pay for jumping the gun and ordering aftermarket replacements before you got a refund. At least you'll be happy with your parts and recover some of the money you spent.

It wasn't jumping the gun when I have in writing they would be refunded.

I don't think you're going to a refund the dealer isn't the one who makes the call, Ram is and they sent the required parts and the dealer is willing to install. If you don't want that then you'll just need to take the L, try to recoup some $ and move on IMO.

I spoke to RAM about it and they said they informed them to refund me. They even called them while I was on the phone to inform them they said to refund it. They said they never charged the dealership for the parts and they new that.
