How many here have owned a SC car or truck

Got a Sprintex in my 3.8L Mantis Jeep. Needs it just to push the 40" wheels up a hill without downshifting!

This will be my first SC vehicle and so insane excited to experience it. Most of my fast cars were very large V8s but did own a 1999 Mitsubishi 300GT VR4 which was twin turbo all wheel drive and all wheel steering. That car was fun and ahead of it's time for sure.

Looking forward to the TRX as the all-in-one halo vehicle (Uber for kids, daily driver, utility truck, sports car, off roading, etc.) !!!

I had a 2015 Hellcat that I traded for the Demon. So this will be number 3.

Only turbos for me. Beginning with an SVO Mustang (1986) and up to my current Honda Civic Type R....but no superchargers...none at all

Don’t laugh, but this was a little supercharged beast. With the Borla race exhaust among some other mods it screamed. I can’t wait to hear the whine of a supercharger again.

LOL I guess I am old. Had one on my Probe GT ... Bet a lot of people don't know what that is...
If the Probe was rear wheel drive they would have sold so many more

Years ago in the 70s my dads CB handle was Bear Bait lol.. Most hear won't know what a CB is lmao o_O
10 4 there buddy. My handle was the "Toaster" and it was not one I chose.....

It helped me quit marijuana....Sold the HC for the PW...now i have my medical card...lol
Pullied, and legmaker intake(i miss ittttt)

335i tuned Twin turbo and an S6 tuned Twin Turbo and a BMW x5 Tuned twin turbo..
6.2 supercharged dwarfed them all in fun, except the S6....that thing was faster 0-60 on the street rain or shine.

I’ve had a few forced induction vehicles
-Notchback Mustang w/ vortech s trim
-John Cooper works Mini, essentially a turbo go kart and more fun then you’d think
-6.7 King Ranch F350, current DD
-HellCat Challenger, weekend/race car
-Mercedes GLE, wifes current daily

The TRX will be replacing the F350. I will say this...the 6.2 blower whine is addicting as hell. I’m wondering how muffled it is because of the large intake on the TRX. I know when I removed my stock air box on my HellCat and replaced it with the LMI the blower noise increased dramatically.

This will be my first SC motor. My last fun toy was a M4 (twin turbo)...wasn't a huge fan of the sounds that the car made, but it was a blast to drive. From what I am reading, we are not going to get much of the exhaust note in the cabin unless the windows are down, but will get a lot of the SC sound in the cab...which I can't want to experience 1st hand!

I’ve got 2 Twin_Turbo charged vehicles... How about a 320 rwhp Supercharged motorcycle w/ a centrifugal supercharger impeller that spins at 130,000 rpm & squeals when it breaks the sound barrier?

I’m thinking too much about getting my TRX, it can’t be healthy ? but happy to have this forum, it helps.

I had one of these pass me on the uphill at Mosport when I had a 675. I have ridden a LOT of track days, raced, and am a pretty experienced rider...but holly crap...it scared the shit out of me the 1st time it went by me...that noise was amazing...from then on I just knew to expect it LOL

I’m actually actively looking for a CTS-V. Corona and Carvana did that market wonders for sellers. I test drove one recently and was surprised how much I liked it.

My first and only (so far) SC vehicle is a 2018 Jeep GC TrackHawk. I still own it and absolutely love it. I have a 2019 Raptor as well and miss the sound and feel of the TH. It is not just the exhaust from the V8 compared to the TT V6 but the whine of the SC. In the TH it is not overwhelming and is actually quite tame until you get on it a bit. It is easy as a daily driver and in fact since I drive the truck daily now, my wife drive the TH. she likes that the power to get on the highway or pass when needed i right there and is not delayed at all. After driving it for the last couple of months she is not sure what she could go to that would please her as much as the TH. The nice thing is of course it has full time AWD and the last 2 winters it has done perfectly well in some snowy and slippery conditions. That makes me more comfortable for her in the winter as well. I have a feeling that the TRX will do well in the winter especially with the drive modes that in my experience are well balanced and effective. The transmission is well matched. The 10spd in the Raptor is quite different. In sport mode it is very harsh unless you put your foot to the floor. And that is with a better tune from COBB (Trans and Engine). I almost never use sport mode as it is not a feeling I care for. The trans in the TH and likely other FCA HellCat powered vehicles is fast, smooth and easily drivable in all available modes. Even track mode though stiffer is still not the less than desirable sport mode on the Raptor.

Sorry for going off topic a bit. In the end for me anyway, I prefer the SC over a turbo or twin turbo setup in the platforms I have owned.

diesels and small displacement do better with turbos. They get hit hard with Belt driven tech, and ultimately suffer. The backpressure of a turbo is non consequential if you can deal with lag. The I6TT in the pre2010 335i with a cobb tune boosting at 18psi was insane. Tuned v6 supercharged S4 or even NA M3s could never keep up.

Then came along the hellcat chargers, somehow better then the CTSV, and untouched on the road outside of supercar territory.

Diesel broz in south florida will STILL step all over this truck, until we throw belts and pullies at it.

I had a MY'14 B8.5 Audi S4 -- 6 speed w/ a 3.0L supercharged V6 that made 325 ft-lbs of torque. Nothing crazy but guys were putting chips in it to get 400+. Supercharger whine was actually audible for a "fancy" German saloon car. Really liked the low-end torque and helped realize I'm not a turbo guy when it comes to forced induction.
