Again like in previous posts the allocation is all that matter

yeah, I had no visibility regarding my dealers allocation status at the time I ordered. Ive never ordered a new release vehicle before so I had no idea.

Me too. I found out the hard way also. One of the reasons why car dealers still have a bad reputation. Among others.

i ordered mine 9/2 and received a VON and VIN a few days later my VIN ends in 644

My dealer in Ohio has an allocation open but they started charging a 5k ADM after my order.

Dealer reaffirmed that they did did indeed have an allocation for my order. Can't understand why they don't have a VIN

My dealer sales manager told me that the distric manager contacted him and told him that they have one truck coming to them. He then told me that mine is the only one he sold. I guess that means they had one allocation. Is that correct?

Why they would not simply build all the sold orders in the order that they came into the system is really BS.
Some dealer that's going to mark it up way over sticker is going to get stock units while some of our sold orders set there in the system.

thats precisely the point, by doling out allocations instead of making dealers compete for your business they guarantee the dealers can make a premium on halo vehicles. If not the dealer willing to make the best deal would get all the sales which is good for the consumer but bad for the business.
