How Many have a VON and No VIN ?

That’s normal (99). That’s what most people I have seen have on theirs.
I have seen people with 1 and 2 and that's suppose to be better? Also, does anybody have any idea when it would ship? Am I going to be waiting until July? This was ordered yesterday and I have confirmed it was an allocated TRX to them.
I have seen 1 and 99 for customer orders. 4 for dealer orders. I think 1 is better than 99 but 99 is better than 4. Ship status is completely unknown. My dealership won’t tell me anything. I tried to order in August with their first 3 allocations and they were already filled. They called me back in October when they were given their 2nd allocation and that’s when I placed my order. Someone else on here may know more...

The 4 is where this one says 1-Sold-Order it would say 4-Dealer Order if it was in fact a dealer order the 1-99 is separate for build priority. Mine was 99 until I got a VIN and D status then it went to 1. I have seen others with a VIN that is still 99. It doesn’t seem to mean much. At least not to us.

In a nut shell the build priority is an internal numbering system for each dealer and the system seems to default to 99 and if your dealer only has 1 allocation then it is likely to just stay as a 99 because it doesn't matter what order they put it in if its the only one. If they switch it to 1 that is obvious that it is the first order placed with them if they have more than 1 allocation and they assigned different numbers based on peoples spot in line then they would label them 1 through whatever. However this doesn't seem to make a difference in which trucks are being built first because Ram seems to be building by color and region so if a dealer has 10 allocations and their internal priorities are assigned 1-10 but 1-8 are red and 9 is black and ram decides to send one of the allocations to your dealer they and they decide to build a black one thats the one they get and it doesn't matter that the dealer put the red ones ahead of the black....The only time one would assume it matters at all is if multiple people have the same colors and options when Ram decides to build an allocation for the dealer the lower number would assumedly get selected first.
All to say as long as your POC says 1-Sold Order what it says in build priority doesn't seem to make 2 shits of difference which is also why some dealers likely just leave it at 99 because they know this already

Just psa if your ordered on 8/20 and you don’t have a vin I’m betting your dealer did not have an allocation for you. It happened to me. I would start asking them questions.
No allocation. I was very surprised that he said it was going to be built. We will see what happens. Will post if I get a vin.
My dealer (and I heard others state the same) said that FCA told all dealerships that they would get at least one TRX allocation in the first 6 months of production so maybe thats Why they are confident.
I have a question. After talking with FCA. They told me my VON brings up a dealer order not a sold customer. If I asked my dealership to change it. Will it help or hurt my. I'm currently sitting in C status with a unknown on everything. Very disappointing

Yep, I’m with Caliche... have them change if if they can. Mine is in C also, but my dealer says the system won’t let them change it at this point. Then I’ve seen other buyers say their dealers called the FCA rep and we’re able to get it changed.I have a question. After talking with FCA. Mine is in D status and I was able to get it changed. Salesman worked with his rep to get it done.
I didn't have time to call. Even in the 30 degree weather ppl want to buy HDs. Will call Monday

All orders go into the system as a 99. You'll stay that way until you get out of BA status. Then your dealer will take you down to like 1 or 2 status whatever for the plant to prioritize your order to that particular dealer. Once you get into C status from what I've been reading the priority doesn't matter, it's in the plants hands and they'll build trucks based on their own factors. I wouldn't worry about a build date until after you get a VIN. I have it on good authority later this month the build #'s are going to jump up...
Being this late in the game, I would guess Q2 for a build, probably late depending on the #'s I mentioned above. If you look at this chart below, these are all the built FB/Forum members trucks currently broken down by order date and color. You can see if they weren't prioritizing black, they are only building trucks from the first couple days of production. As more people give me their order info and trucks getting built then the data will be more accurate.
