Seen this thread when it first came out wasn't to sure how far to go back in time or how much to share

Since it popped back up and I've been a member for a while now
I am and retired at 42yrs old Currently have property in NYC, P.R.,
Soon purchasing properties in GA, AZ, or TX HOBBIES ARE DRIVING CARS, TRUCKS, AND ATVS

Father of 6 5 alive and well 1
Ages 27, 24, 14, 13, 2, and 8 months

Oh and I only drive Hellcats but will be trying something new soon

Good question Sorry I skipped that part
So for 20yrs I had a construction and cleaning company building, remodeling, and cleaning offices for the Army Corp ( Marines, Navy, Air force, and Army) 4yrs ago I was on my way to work when someone in there work truck on there cell phone crashed into me from behind while on his cell phone
Long story short I was awarded 5 million dollars recently so I'm just looking forward to the next chapter in my life
I've had over 20 surgeries in my shoulder, neck, and back so I'm no longer able to do physical work
I have properties currently under reservation to be Air bnbs also
I made tons of money in my construction and cleaning business that allowed me not to even touch my settlement as of yet

Was in consulting for a hand full of years before then built a data platform for a small Ag Tech startup over last couple of years and that has grown into me leading a team of developers. Right now also working on building them a couple of new mobile apps while impatiently waiting for my TRX to arrive *hopefully* this summer and a new baby boy (my 2nd) in October.

I’m in the not so popular profession of law enforcement and I day trade on my weekends. Most of this TRX is being paid by a couple good trades.

In my opinion any part of law enforcement is essential and I tip my hat off to you As long as your doing what you feel in your heart is right in those hard moments you are a hero in my eye's

Thanks and right on. Been doing mostly web development for most of career but have gotten more into it over last year mostly out of necessity because exactly as you said we tried to outsource a development agency to build our new app last year but they totally dropped the ball so had to step in to save that project. Luckily there’s so many awesome tools available now for building cross platform apps like React Native which thankfully are pretty simple to pick up especially if already doing web dev.

I mean that's the good side of the coin but the dark side is I've only been a physical person all my life, working with my hands, learning with my hands and now that's all been taken away in a crash My younger boys was 8,9 when it happened we use to fide 4wheelers and do alot of father and son suff, basketball, football, baseball, etc up until now I physically can't do those things and even if I wanted to the insurance company would video tape me and I would have lost everything once I exhausted my savings So I lost a good portion of memorial times with my boys who are now teenagers and just want to hand with there friends I just had another surgery today and I'm recovering for the next 6 weeks hoping to enjoy this summer wit them
All in all I did turn things positive but I can never get that lost time back and it breaks my heart

spend the insurance company money first. Why spend your personal money? Lock it up in a trust and spend that insurance money like you are richard prior in brewsters millions. I’ll even come help out of the goodness of my heart

I had no choice but to use my personal money for the last 4yrs as I wasn't allowed to work do to my injuries in my field I was hands on project manager, get all the supplies, dealing with works, tons of hrs on my feet I was working 20hrs a day 6 days a week and that 1 day stop it all! I had no choice but to run through my savings to pay the mortgage and bills, plus take care of 5 kids I wasn't able to take any ne projects on
Just when my savings was running low my settlement hit so now I'm looking for the next venture after enjoying sometime with my family since I couldn't even put out a garbage can without being video taped the last 4yrs

My company pays me to travel to high impact customer meetings during contract negotiations so I can read the room and body languages of the clients. Provide feedback on where we stand based on what I see during the meetings before we re-negotiate or stand firm on final offers. Not sure how This “skill” came to me but they hired me after the other company I worked for got the best of my current company on a deal they were trying to negotiate down then ended up paying 30% more for and also assuming legal culpability for anything before the buyout. Stressful situations when you suggest we can get more out of a deal but still sitting at 100% thus far.
