Fuel Door or Gas Cap lock

I saw these and it says they don't fit 2021 or newer.

Hey - idk if you saw, but Geno's website now has ones for 2021-2022 DT...back ordered, but supposed to ship by end of month.

my buddy just bought a brand new wrangler and the very next day she came out to an empty tank. So - fuel siphoning is a legit concern (especially when running premium). Granted - there are about a million more options for wranglers (locking caps, etc), so that should be an easy fix for her.

Just talked to them and was told it will fit. They are backordered until 1/31 as of now.

Got this back from Geno’s today, re their gas cap/dust cap…
“I was concerned about the cap with a TRX truck, so I found one at a local dealer and did a test install.
While the cap will fit it takes a lot of effort to make it work. The reason is that the rubber boot around the filler hole will interfere with the installation of the cap making it difficult to use. I would recommend not ordering one.” Great follow up from them through my questioning.

Thank you for the update! I was just about to order it until I saw your post. And then I also noticed Geno's added "Notes" to their web listing saying it does NOT fit the TRX. So hopefully any forum members that see this thread actually read through it before ordering something that isn't going to work.

Anyone found anything interesting for a fuel door or gas cap lock?

Never seen the gas port on a TRX yet but, my raptor which I’m sure is very close to what they’re doing with a TRX has an unlock a flap that opens up to a capless gas entry port.

I haven’t heard of anybody stealing gas since the shortage in the mid 70s

My buddy just had a full tank of gas stolen out of her Jeep Wrangler. So…it can happen.

today I looked at it with my cousin (a very good car mechanic). It looks like the original "lock" of the tank will be very easy to remodel into a lockable, with door. It will only be an investment of a few euros and some time.

unfortunately I haven't gotten to that yet, I have a lot of work to do

Well...I ordered one during the small window of "yes it fits" and "no it won't". If you slide it on from 10 o'clock, where the rubber boot is soft, it slides on/locks/slides off fairly easily!

Any grease, vaseline, etc on the neck to help? Maybe our orange IE trucks are special!
