No mods. It’s bone stock 1800 miles. I looked at the VF tune but honestly this is more car than I can handle so never pulled the trigger.

Took my car in for oil change yesterday to an Indy dealer in Houston. He has a crazy inventory so it was fun to see a bunch of cars at once. Had a lot of GT3 inventory. Touring and RS and some others. I just can’t get over Porsche pricing. I mean the number of variants that sell for over 300 and 350.
Stunning, this is on the top of my list even though it’ll pretty much feel like the R8. What does the VF tune do and how much power does it add?

I instruct for Audi club North America, among other organizations, and have not owned these three but have a fair amount of exposure to them on track.

GT3RS is my vote as it is going to be more reliable, more livable, more dealer support, better resale, cheaper repairs, and arguably at least makes you look like a better driver on track than the others.

720 is an aural experience that is different but not great for daily use and lots of mechanical issues that are expensive to fix and less dealers around.

Hurrican is not in the same league as the other two on track and may draw more attention around town than the 911 which may not be a good thing unless that’s what you’re looking for.

If I were getting one for free it would be the gt3rs hands down. But around here they are going for $400k so that’s not going to happen.

But for $250k you can also go get a ZR1X and hurt the feelings of all of the above on track.
Thank you for your insight and I do agree with what you’ve said. I’ve never tracked any of my vehicles but definitely want to start doing that in the near future. I’d probably setup the GT500 for that purpose though.

Do you have any experience with the 488 GTB?

Can't believe I dont have a family photo. Looks great. I'm on my second TRX due to my first one getting stolen. Long story but it got totaled and I got great money so got a final edition orange one.

As you may know, the 580-2 is a RWD so it's detuned from the 610-4 AWD from the factory. So the VF gets it back to 610 spec plus a tad more. They say 630 crank. At 1800 bucks that's not bad considering the usual tax most people add for exotics. They are super reputable though and have a really nice supercharger kit for our cars as well. They have a 750 hp blower kit for your r8 v10. Check out their instagram. They do some insane builds on STOs etc. Let us know what you decide.

I went to pick up my car yesterday from service and looked at a bunch of what they had in stock. SVJs, revueltos, a handful of GT3RSs, several 812s etc. I figure I'd need to spend 350k to make it a worthwhile upgrade for the way I enjoy the car, and I'm just not going to do that at the moment.

I agree 350k is insane and ideally I’d like to be under 200k but seems like since COVID supercars have added 50k to their used value at-least.
